Lasagne13 Jan 2004 03:18 GMT10
This weekend I made lasagne using extra firm tofu in place of the noodles.
It was very good, in fact, I couldn't tell the difference. I made half the
pan with noodles and half with tofu. I had my SO taste the tofu version
without telling him what was different. His comment "Yea, so ...
Exercise and ketosis13 Jan 2004 02:19 GMT16
After a long aerobic exercise session the colour of ketostick has fallen
from dark purple to light pink. Has anyone had this happen? Any ideas why? I
would think that it would remain in purple as your body has been using more
energy.
cooked too much--a lesson learned13 Jan 2004 02:02 GMT13
This week has been miserably cold.  That plus some online
conversations led me to try a few baking experiments.  I baked
pumpkin bread pudding, "cornbread", and peanut butter cookies.  Oh
yes, almost forgot the spice cookies that were like sawdust when

Doing fine!13 Jan 2004 01:37 GMT4
Hi, I'm a new old lady on this list.  I lost 60 lbs with this diet back in
the early 70's before it was Atkins.  We just called it the "High
Protein/Low Carbohydrate" diet.
I kept the weight off for 15 years then went into a nosedive during a bad,
Mayonnaise and calories13 Jan 2004 01:33 GMT15
I'm always confused on this so somebody please help me out.  I like
mayonnaise and lots of it, in salads with garlic salt, with tuna, on
burgers, etc.  When I enter my daily info on Fitday, my carbs are very
low but my calories are so high.  I entered my mayo (Best Foods) in
Best 'George Foreman' Style Grill On The Market?13 Jan 2004 01:14 GMT20
My George Foremen grill is getting a bit old. I like it except for the way
it leaks onto the countertop at times. It is also a pain to clean at times.
Being that Friday is going to be a big sale day, I was wondering what the
best Foreman style grill is on the market? Anyone happy ...
after 2 weeks :)13 Jan 2004 00:26 GMT1
2 weeks down and another successful week.  This week was fairly easy for me
to stay on track, although a couple of days I was up around 25 carbs, it was
good carbs or LC bread type stuff.  No sugar :)
Hubby's doing well too, he lost more the first week, I lost more this week.
Jean B/ Shirataki/ Bonito13 Jan 2004 00:12 GMT1
I bought a bag of Bonito flakes, 2 bags of Shiritaki noodles, a bag of Agar
noodles (very stuck tgether)
and Sea Tangle noodles. I think the sea tangles and agar noodles are the
same! Its all just seaweed.
phaseolamin question12 Jan 2004 22:54 GMT2
I checked Google Groups and saw the many explanations that
phaseolamin is a protein which is digested in the stomach before
it can do its carb-blocking thing in the small intestine. OK, I'm
fine with that.
