Not losing, working out and i think gaining.12 Jan 2004 22:26 GMT2
This is strange. I think i must be gaining muscle, because i have been
working out on a regular basis, and am now apparently 1.5lb heavier or so
than about three weeks ago.
Three weeks ago my loss all but stopped, and i stopped really doing
Fishy Flax!12 Jan 2004 22:15 GMT8
I'm guessing I just ran into my first batch of rancid flax seeds.  I bought about
1 lb of them (from the bulk bins) at Whole Foods a couple of weeks (or less) ago.
Today I ground some of them in my coffee grinder to make cereal, but they smelled
like FISH!  Somehow I thought ...
Muscle Aches12 Jan 2004 21:51 GMT9
I am getting leg muscle aches in particular at night while sleeping. I
take one Potassium tablet per day and drink tons of water. Any thoughts on
how I might resolve this problem absent aspirin/tylenol?
Also, does the Potassium tablet make one retain water?
I'm preparing to start Atkins12 Jan 2004 21:51 GMT5
What can I snack on? I have been on a 1500 calorie diet for 3 years and I
lost 150 pounds the first 3 months and haven't lost but 20 since. I am
disabled and cannot workout. What seeds or nuts are low carb? I cannot have
anything with artificial sweeteners due to allergies.

Must I give up fruit??12 Jan 2004 19:06 GMT12
I've stopped eating pasta, bread, rice, potatoes, corn, potato chips,
cake, candy and chocolate bars.  Must I give up fruit too?  I love
fruit!  I have been snacking on slices of apple with old cheddar
cheese.  I also love tangerines and seedless grapes. A friend recently
Morningstar Farms has low-carb vegetarian stuff12 Jan 2004 18:33 GMT9
Ok, I saw this ad in today's Parade Magazine.  If I remember correctly,
Morningstar Farms is all frozen vegetarian stuff, veggie burgers, etc, and
this ad says they have "13 lower fat veggie options . . . all with 4 grams
of net carbs or less" and the fine print says "Net carbs = ...
Help with low carb food and recipes please.12 Jan 2004 18:19 GMT4
Hi. Can somebody point me in the right direction for some low carb recipes

past in between meals or at night if I was hungery, but thats out now. I was
thinking cheese maybe? Thanks

To ask them to break out the carb count of the starchy
accompaniments.  I don't think that would compromise their non-LC
philosophy, and it would make their magazine more useful to many
people who currently find it practically useless.  BTW, I was

Subway Low Carb12 Jan 2004 17:30 GMT13
The Subway stores in my area [Indy]charge .40 cents to use the Atkins' low
Carb wrap on any other menu choice.  I think that is a rip off.
They allow other choices of bread for no extra charge.
Maybe email to them will change that extra fee.
New here12 Jan 2004 17:03 GMT4
Hi there, I have been reading here and there and I figured I'd post
something since I'm on Atkins too and I could really use some advice and
support sometimes.
I started induction Sept 15 2003 at 183 pounds.
Can anyone help me with my Atkins shopping list???12 Jan 2004 17:00 GMT6
Hi,
I've taken the plunge and decided to start Atkins, I was diagnosed
with Diabetes (the controllable kind by diet) and need some input on
my first grocery list.
When does it cease to be a "fad"12 Jan 2004 16:20 GMT50
Well, I was just wondering when the low carb "fad" I keep reading about will
cease to be a fad, and will actually start to become an acceptable way of
eating.
See, unlike the folks with PETA, us LC'ers are not bent on making the entire
