LC Frozen Pizza12 Jan 2004 15:32 GMT4
I was in Sam's Club yesterday when I saw something new and interesting
in the frozen foods - CarbBalance Michael Angelo's Pepperoni and
Sausage Pizza. According to the label, this has 41 g of protein and 11
g (2 g of which is fiber) carbs per serving, which in 1/2 of the pizza
What products do I need?12 Jan 2004 14:22 GMT11
First post.
Just started a week ago, and can see that this can be a very expensive
diet to be on.
I would like to try and make lo carb things from scratch (cookies,
Progress with the torture chamber12 Jan 2004 12:39 GMT11
The first day on the exercise machine was something straight
out of satan's torture chamber.  It's been a loooonnnnng
time since I've done any exercises with weights.  So I
approached the thing last week, gave it the evil eye and
G'day!12 Jan 2004 09:15 GMT1
Ive been offline since just before Christmas, but its great to be back
(although most wouldn't have noticed I was gone since I dont post all that
much!).
I was pretty strict with myself over Christmas, but something must have gone
Sugar Alcohols12 Jan 2004 07:30 GMT10
Afternoon all,
Hubby and I went shopping and saw all sorts of "low carb" things that after I read the label weren't really low carb to me -- they were subtracting fiber from the carbs -- which I understand and am okay with -- but they were also subtracting sugar alcohols --- ...
Diet Plan / Reading Material12 Jan 2004 06:00 GMT32
I want to lose 6st and a lot of body fat quickish (18 months).  I'm thinking
lowcarb, maybe atkins, as I feel it will be easier to stick to meats, fish
etc.  I'm not bothered about knowing the history, or the science, I just
want a decent diet plan with easy meal suggestions that I ...
Losing support at home12 Jan 2004 05:17 GMT12
Help!  I'm starting to lose support with my family (namely, husband!)  Just
this morning while watching Food Network with Mario Batali make a mussel and
pasta dish, hubby said, "You can't eat Italian food anymore now, can you?"
I explained to him that I could eat Italian food but ...
LC au naturale12 Jan 2004 01:35 GMT26
Finally I've tweaked my daily menu to remove all the expensive protein
and/or LC shakes and what I've dubbed "LC-prepped" foods (i.e. lowcarb ice
cream, lowcarb pancake/waffle mixes, etc)...and I've gone back to the less
complicated way of stocking my fridge and cupboards.
Ketosas Strips12 Jan 2004 01:06 GMT9
Can someone please tell me where I can get the Ketosas Strips
help! too much protein?12 Jan 2004 01:05 GMT5
I've been doing Atkins for close to a year, and starting just recently
I get foamy urine and a toxified feeling whenever I eat a lot of
protein.  I'm a little worried about my kidneys, to be honest, yet my
doctor just said my blood and urine tests came out normal. (And my

Low Carb Chefs to have program on Food Network11 Jan 2004 23:52 GMT2
I subscribe to Dana Carpender's ezine and this just came in:
This project is the "baby" of a friend of mine, George Stella.  George and
his wife Rachel are really-truly chefs (unlike your faithful ezine
writer/editor, who is merely a good home cook) who have a truly astonishing
Cars that Weigh You11 Jan 2004 23:20 GMT2
CNN has been running a Jeannie Moos segment on an invention that weighs you
when you sit down in the driver's seat in your car.  Unfortunately, they
don't seem to put her stuff on their website.  While watching it I couldn't
help but think that JC should volunteer to record a ...
This is crap without exercise!11 Jan 2004 23:19 GMT66
Obviously, a calorie is a calorie, and if you don't get out there and
work it off, none of this picky carb sh.t is gonna' work.  It's SOOO
simple to follow either of these diets:  DON'T EAT A PLATE OF PASTA or
POTATOES EVERYDAY!  A piece of WHOLE WHEAT bread is NOT gonna' kill
