MMM Low carb bread found at Sam's11 Jan 2004 20:12 GMT2
Was in Sam's club yesterday and picked up double loaves of Arnold's
"Carb Counting Mulit grain" Bread the "A" for Atkins caught my eye.
My DH who likes nothing but white bread said lets try it.
I always used the arnold light 7 grain when I wanted a slice if toast.
O'soLo Rollz label11 Jan 2004 20:06 GMT4
Evening all!!
I found a little hole in the wall health food store yesterday and found
these O'soLo Sandwich rolls so I figured I would put a couple up and try
them out. I got Sourdough & Pumpernickel. I'm having one now with ham, mayo
Losing weight, but not inches11 Jan 2004 19:59 GMT7
I'm sure this question has been posted before, but I seem not to be able to
find any answers to it.  I'm using Outlook Express to read these news
postings, and it only shows so many.  I googled this list to find more
answers, but with little success.  So, I'm going to outright ask.  ...
REC: Collard Greens Soup11 Jan 2004 19:57 GMT4
I love greens, always have, and am always looking for ways to enjoy them.
My wife made this over the Christmas holidays, it was delicious and very
gratifying, especially on the cold wet days.

8 pounds lost!
And I had a great desire to go to the gym last and stayed on the treadmill
for an hour. I walked over 2.5 miles....
Very happy after the first week.
Gollum like low carb look?11 Jan 2004 19:17 GMT32
Hey, i have a question.
in another newsgroup dedicated to fitness, someone said that if i start
lifting and running (two things that i am doing now), i can get rid of that
"gollum look" that low carb gives.
Another newbie question: for DC area low carb-ers11 Jan 2004 19:16 GMT7
I'm starting SBD on Monday.  I heard a lo-car grocery store advertised on the
radio:  Whoa, that's low.
I live in Loudoun County, and this store is in Silver Spring, MD.  Is it worth
my time to head out there tomorrow, or can you get pretty much the same stuff
Low-carb trend transforms breakfast11 Jan 2004 19:07 GMT6
http://www.detnews.com/2004/business/0401/08/b03-30101.htm
What caught my attention (regardless of breakfast) was the last sentence
- a new place to buy Atkins bread... no longer will I have to drive 1/2
hr to the closest health food store that carries it (which, fortunately,
What's The Best CHEAP Multi-Vitamin?11 Jan 2004 18:59 GMT6
I usually just take the Walgreen's brand, but i know there is a big
discrepancy between the contents of them and some of the higher quality
ones. Is the brand market stuff sufficient to take or is there a good cheap
multi-vitamin that is better? Thanks.

I finally saw some of the LC smart ones and more of the LC Lean
Cuisine meals at my local (usually deficient) store.  I can't say
they are too appealing, in part because they are, for the most
part, very low-cal (I saw as low as 140 cals for a so-called
Use of celery11 Jan 2004 18:34 GMT4
Since beginning the low carb WOE, I've tried to find new ways to fix carb
friendly stuff.  Celery is one of my faves; salads are okay for lunch, but
I'd rather have something heated for dinner with my protein.  I sautee or
braise sliced celery in a little olive oil with a touch of ...
My stomach feels funny11 Jan 2004 17:28 GMT3
I got up this morning and was drying off after my morning shower (please,
ignore the visuals;) and, while toweling down my stomach, felt a couple of
hard spots, one on the right side first then on the left side as well.  I'm
not kidding you, it took me a little while to figure out ...
Please help interpret blood test results11 Jan 2004 17:25 GMT6
I've been on Atkins since early Sept. 2003 and have lost 20 lbs, according
to my scale.  I'm a 32 year old female, 5' 4" tall.  My starting weight was
162 lbs, and I now weigh 142 lbs.  I had a blood test done immediately
before starting Atkins (9/2/03), and this past week I had my ...
Idiot retards at my workplace11 Jan 2004 16:46 GMT12
I apologize now if the subject offended you.
I do not use the term "retarded" often, and since my father drives
developmentally challenged people for a living, I certainly use the PC terms
when referring to someone who is differently abled.
Extracts, carbs?11 Jan 2004 16:20 GMT5
I think I asked this before, but reviewing the posts, never found my post or
the replies?
Do pure extracts (like vanilla, peppermint, almond, etc used in baking)
have carbs?   Why not add these to decafe coffee with a Splenda?   Thx for
