Instant Ice Cream10 Jan 2004 13:29 GMT3
I had seen this done on television long ago but didn't try it until last
night.  Unfortunately I don't have exact measurements of what I made, but
it's not really critical.  If you get the ice cream to a consistency and
flavor you like...you've made it right!
Obesity shortens life span - Does starvation diet lengthen life span10 Jan 2004 13:27 GMT16
I'm sure it does from the research I've heard lately.  While many may
argue otherwise, what I really want to know is how many calories I
should eat to simulate the starvation diet that has been used on
monkeys and rats that were given 30% less calories than a normal diet
Can anyone recommand a good tasting cereal? 10 Jan 2004 10:19 GMT28
I am getting sick of eggs and would like to try something else. It doesn't
need to be cereal. Thanks
Hi, New here10 Jan 2004 08:51 GMT5
Clicked on a link from a website, that there is great support here.
Read some great stories earlier tonight too. I am going to start the
atkins diet this weekend. Try it for two weeks, see what happens. I
will come back and read more here. Just thought I would drop in and
Protein Powder - What Do You Do With It?10 Jan 2004 06:32 GMT8
Hi everyone.  I've been doing a modified South Beach/Atkins WOE for the
past 4 months and have lost 20 lbs.(20 to go).  My question is what do
all of you do with protein powder?  I bought a container at Whole Foods
a few weeks ago but I'm a bit stumped about using it.  Any ...
COFFEE - Will it dehydrate you?10 Jan 2004 06:13 GMT29
Evidently, there are lots of people claiming it will, but some say
not.   I'm confused.
goal weight10 Jan 2004 05:36 GMT6
I think I might be at it, or darn close, though the # sure is high
relative to what alot of other people's goal weights are.
I started at 280 lbs back on 6/2/03. I've hit 235, and pretty much
stayed there for 2 months, up a few pounds here, back down again after
Can't hold the carrots10 Jan 2004 05:16 GMT15
I'm a little irritated with our local restaurants (southeast U.S.) because
their salads come pre-mixed with shredded carrots.  Although the restaurants
don't add the shredded carrots, the wholesalers do.  It's impossible to pick
out all of the carrot bits, so how do I count the ...
Anyone watch the Low Carb Revolution Show??10 Jan 2004 02:05 GMT6
I watched it the other night on the food channel. Very intertesting.
The chef and his wife lost mass weight together. He had a wonderful
recipe for Tequila chicken. I made it last night and it was different
but good. I'm going to tweak it next time and reduce the cumin. The
Just checking back in10 Jan 2004 02:03 GMT1
I lost 60lbs on low carb, from 236 to 169 in 7 months, then over the
rest of the year gained back a few pounds and leveled out at 174.  Been
that way for the 2 years following with 2 or 3 pound fluctuations at
times of my choosing :)  Over the Christmas I just ate a near fatal
