I'm trying to figure out the amount of carbs in brewed coffee made with tap
water.  (Hubby is a coffe-a-holic)
I went to the USDA database and it says 0 per 8 fl oz but I have a really
hard time believing that....

It has been very hard to LC here in the Dominican Republic. but I have
been walking sooooo much that I think that I will be ok. I've been
eating meat, fruit, and the occasional piece of bread. the rest of the
food is disgusting!! I am at the Occidental Flamenco Resort in Punta

the south beach diets different attributes and who's having success with

Been doing Atkins for 4 months. Started at 240lbs, 199 tot Chol, 145
ldl, 44 hdl, 134 triglycerides (on Zocor). Down to 210 but my tot Chol
shot up to 404, 348 ldl, 46 hdl but triglycerides dropped to 115.
Stopped taking the Zocor about 2 weeks into the WOE (fell under the

Interesting study.  Maybe it's not so vital that low carbers stop
drinking coffee after all.  Too bad I don't like coffee more.

Well written Excel spreadsheet for tracking weight loss. Use pounds, stones,
or kilograms. Produces charts and graphs of loss and will project future
weight and goal date.  Has a field for daily notes which I use to see what
effects my progress.

Recently, there was an offer that if you went and weighed in you'd get

show but I've searched his web site and can't find any reference to

I am trying to dig up information on low-carbing for vegetarians.  So
far, I've found the obvious things.  Tofu, soy protein, and Quorn.
And for vegetarians who aren't afraid of animal products: eggs,
cheeses, Macadamias, and certain dairy products.  And of course,

I heard on CNN that both McDonald's and Burger King will have low carb
food on their menu. McDonald's is already doing tests at a McDonald's in
New York. Burger King said they'd be making an announcement next week.
