No Cal Sugars Spike Blood Sugar Level?29 Jan 2004 02:10 GMT10
Gee, I saw something about this a couple of days ago and then lost it.  I
am not a diabetic.  I am curious to know if the sugar replacements like
Equal, Splenda, and others actually do anything to insulin or blood sugar
or does the body just ignore them.  If they do, are there any ...

SUGARS: MATINOL, SORBITOL28 Jan 2004 23:24 GMT1
Since Maltitol is metabolised at the rate of 3 calories per gram in everyone
who doesn't get the runs, even if their blood sugar doesn't spike, this
seems like a very poor nutritional choice for someone on a low carb diet.
You are getting 13.5 grams of glucose in every serving ...
Spaghetti Squash Frittata...28 Jan 2004 23:18 GMT1
     Spaghetti Squash Frittata
Frittatas are the perfect thing for a quick breakfast,
lunch or even light supper. They're even good cold, so you can pack them for
a picnic or a brown bag lunch.

Bread induction question28 Jan 2004 21:57 GMT26
I'm 22 y/o, male, 5'11" tall and weigh 170lbs.  I've never really ate
healthy and I haven't really done any excerises since high school.  I'm
going on this diet to get rid of my slightly chunky stomach and chest (that
and my metabolism won't go this strong forever).  My question, is ...
rec:  Jean B's Almond "Tiramisu"28 Jan 2004 21:25 GMT5
I was playing in the kitchen yesterday.  This has so many
calories, I'd better toss the rest into the freezer.  (Do y'all
think the filling would survive?)

Anyone Do LC Once a Month Cooking?28 Jan 2004 21:03 GMT8
I work full time and have 4 kids (I'm crazy, I know it!)  Back before I
started this WOE, I used to spend a weekend once a month cooking all kinds
of stuff that I could freeze and just reheat when I got home from work.  Of
course, most of these dishes don't fit into my low-carb ...
Carl's Jr. Low Carb 6 Dollar Burger28 Jan 2004 20:50 GMT12
Had one last night and thought it was fantastic.  Much more satisfying
than the low carb offerings at Subway and Blimpie, with a good amount
of meat.  I would recommend trying one.

Nosebleeds (may be TMI for some)28 Jan 2004 19:10 GMT30
This is my third attempt at posting this; I have no idea why my home
software won't let me start a thread, but it won't.
Over the last few weeks I've been getting increasing numbers of
nosebleeds; I think this weekend hit the nadir, I managed two on
