I started induction today and have been unable to make the hunger go away.
Here is what I have eaten so far:
3 egg Omlette with 5 slices of bacon,  a little onion, some mushrooms and
muenster cheese.  For lunch I ate almost 1 1/4 lbs of ground black angus
Da Vinci Sale28 Jan 2004 14:18 GMT1
Since a lot of people on this newsgroup are interested in the Da Vinci
low-carb syrups, I thought I'd let everyone know that I got an
advertising notice from them a couple of days ago that they are having a
sale.

Wow I didn't realize how bad tap water tastes.  I'm going to have to

Eating salad/vegetables after induction28 Jan 2004 13:36 GMT3
Having been "induced", are the limits on salad and vegetable
consumption lifted?
During induction you have to keep within certain weight limits of
salad, i.e. 200-340 g.  (I never really understood this, as the carb
After Induction....28 Jan 2004 13:33 GMT4
I am less than a week into induction, feeling great, losing lbs already, and
am thinking about the next phase.  Do some people stay in induction longer
than 2 weeks?  I know that the DANDR book says induction isn't a way of
eating forever, but I am a little afraid to veer away from ...

OT: Start new job next week, free Y memebership!28 Jan 2004 06:00 GMT10
Awesome, I got that new job!  I'll be working as a counsellor for an
afterschool program run by the YMCA at a nearby elementary school.  I get a
free Y membership too!  My Curves membership is up for renewal in April,
and I'm leaning towards not renewing.  It will save me money, ...
Need some advice about Atkins28 Jan 2004 05:56 GMT3
I've been on Atkins since October 13 and I've lost a total of 35 pounds from
my heaviest weight.  I started out at 296 and now weigh in at 261.  I
religiously followed induction for the first month, mainly because I wanted
to lose a total of about 136 pounds and eating this way ...
What to do with King Crab28 Jan 2004 05:09 GMT7
I recently purchased some King Crab. I usually have snow crab or Dungeness,
this King stuff is seriously strong tasting. I paid a bundle for it, so have
to figure something out. Do any of you creative cooking types have recipe
suggestions for taming the taste of King Crab.
Nitrate-free Bacon??28 Jan 2004 05:08 GMT3
Nitrate-free bacon is mentioned throughout the Atkins program, but I'm
having a hard time finding it at my local Walmart.  Does anyone know
of any particular brand I can look for?  I don't see "nitrate-free" on
any of the packages I've seen.  Is it in a special area of the
