Hmmm, the researchers put subjects on a low cal (680-800 cal/day),
low carb (30g/day), found that, "Mean daily blood glucose levels fell
from 162 to 100 mg/dL within three days of beginning the diet, and all
How often do you weigh??29 Feb 2004 14:07 GMT27
I am used to weighing every day and have been happy with my induction results.
(down six pounds..then up a bit...)
My weight has always varied with my TOM.(no news there)
After induction do you weigh daily, weekly??
Calling Australian Low-Carbers29 Feb 2004 12:23 GMT3
I thought it would be great to know how many Aussies are out there reading
this group. (Im in Adelaide) Ive bumped into a few of them since I came
along, but I thought it would be wonderful to share some Aussie-centric
advice.

Dextrose in sugar twin/equal29 Feb 2004 10:20 GMT4
Someone who is diabetic has been told that those little packages of sugar
twin and equal contain dextrose and that they should not use them.  I
checked and they do indeed contain dextrose.  Is it as a bulking agent and
if so, why use dextrose which is a sugar (isn't it?)  Is it safe ...
exercise29 Feb 2004 05:37 GMT26
I'm curious :-)
How many of you exercise regularly (4-7 days/week)?  What do you do?
I've said before that I'm an avid cyclist.  I also work out with
weights and occasionally (2ish days/week) use a "Firm" tape with their
Progress Photos Updated29 Feb 2004 04:20 GMT26
I switched out the rightmost photos to reflect my progess as of today (see sig
for URL).  I confess to altering the profile one slightly -- I blotted out a big
fuzzy flower on the spread behind me that made it look like my nipple was
sprouting it's own garden :-)  In real life, I ...
Canned Chipotle Chilis29 Feb 2004 04:10 GMT4
Saw them at the store for the first time and bought them having seen them
listed as an ingredient in something I wanted to try. Of course, now I can't
find the recipe. What kind of LC things can you do with canned chipotles?

Breakfast Casseroles29 Feb 2004 03:53 GMT24
I would like some variety for breakfast. Does anyone have a good recipe
for an egg type casserole that I could make on weekend and then carve a
slice for quick breakfasts?
 Thanks,
Atkins & Butter29 Feb 2004 03:17 GMT56
Induction says you can have butter, NOT margarine but what the hell is
margarine?  LMAO.  Remember, I'm a guy and I have no clue!  Currently, I use
Country Crock (I assume it's butter?) it has 0 carbs on the label.  The only
time I would be using butter anyways is when I make my ...
atkin's but low fat?29 Feb 2004 02:58 GMT16
I know that Atkin's thrives on protein and high fat foods.  What if
one was to switch to low fat foods but have a diet that is 90%+
protein?  Would that still work?
Peas,Potatoes+Carrots29 Feb 2004 02:25 GMT10
I can't seem to find the right information for these questions.
 1) Can potatoes be eaten raw(not the green part just under the skin. Some
say it's poisonous) instead of cooking them so that it would take longer to
digest them? Therefore lowering the glycemic index closer to say ...
Changing your brain when it comes to eating29 Feb 2004 02:07 GMT29
Why are we here?
I did Induction on Atkins and fell in the range of a non-resistant to weight
loss person.  In other words it is easy for me to lose weight.  This made me
realize more than ever that my problems were in my mind and the way I think.
Papa Murphy's low carb pizza29 Feb 2004 00:55 GMT9
I love Papa Murphy's Take 'n Bake pizza, but haven't had one for a looooong
time.
Recently they started heavily advertising/promoting their new "low carb"
pizzas, so I went to their website, http://www.papamurphys.com/,  to take a
