This diet is making me feel unwell !!25 Feb 2004 22:41 GMT13
I've been doing Atkins for 2 weeks now. Before starting, I was
diagnosed with IBS, and I hoped Atkins might have helped that. I've
been following the rules of Indiction, and limiting oils (such as
olive).  My bowels simply haven't been working properly. My movements
Feeling tired and weird25 Feb 2004 22:16 GMT25
I thought that this would have passed by now but it hasn't. I always feel as
if I haven't had enough sleep. Something's not right. I'm not going to give
up over it but it needs to be fixed. I need some energy.
Deli meats25 Feb 2004 21:46 GMT2
Has anyone found a brand of deli meat without dextrose in it? It would be
such an easy grab and go food wrapped in a slice of hot pepper cheese. I've
tried all my local supers, they all have a solution of 2% dextrose.

Marscapone and what?25 Feb 2004 20:38 GMT31
At my age (64), I attribute my overweight to a sedentary lifestyle
(freelance writer/translator).
I do not plan to follow Atkins totally but I just started my own experiment
with a reduction of the major carbohydrate sources (eliminating potatoes,

Protein Bars-self test-do they raise blood glucose?25 Feb 2004 19:42 GMT24
I did a little test on myself to see if "low carb" protein bars raise blood
sugar.  Here are the results:

Frustrating turn25 Feb 2004 19:26 GMT13
Weighed myself on Monday morning and I was up from 271 to 274.5. I figured
it was water since I hadn't taken my lasix all weekend. But this morning
it's 276.5. GRRRROOWWWW.  The only thing's I did differently were have a few

Has anyone seen this shop?25 Feb 2004 19:11 GMT2
There is a new burritos shop going up and it is named "WorldFire" with the
'F' backwards.  The sign just has: "WorldFire Burritos" as if they don't
plan to offer anything else.

Keto Vanilla moon box shot of ingredients25 Feb 2004 17:33 GMT2
Since the other thread got a LITTLE offtopic, I thought I'd start a new one.

ingredients. I'll try and type in the list by hand later if there's no
obvious problems with the breakdown.

Who said beef is expensive!25 Feb 2004 16:18 GMT11
Wow - At the Safeway I bought ONE steak and it was 2.2 pounds huge! And
it was only 5,5$! That would be 20$ in Denmark. I carved off one third
if it for my dinner, and I ate it with brussel sprouts and spinach. They
also had 2 x 18 jumbo sized eggs for 3.9$, which is also ...
