I'm new here! Hello!22 Mar 2004 00:07 GMT8
HI, My name is Rhonda. Nickname-"overcomer". I've read several posts,
before deciding to post here. It is like any other group; there are
disagreements about things, but that's ok. We can always agree to
disagree. For the most part I like what I see. I wish there was more
Planning my menu for tomorrow21 Mar 2004 22:56 GMT22
So, since I'm sick of this stall, I decided to plan my menu for tomorrow
using Fitday.  I entered in what I thought looked like plenty of food,
2 large eggs scrambled with a slice of cheese, cooked in a tablespoon of
butter for breakfast

Quitting smoking stuff21 Mar 2004 21:57 GMT63
Ok, there are a quazillion good reasons to quit smoking, but the withdrawal
process kinda sucks.  I caved last night and smoked again, but today I
started the Nicorette gum which is helping a lot.  I did not feel sick and
tired today like I did when trying to go cold turkey.  I ...
low carb breads21 Mar 2004 21:30 GMT24
I see from reading the posts most of the time that in general people are saying
to stay away from the low carb bars, shakes, russell stover candies or  the low
carb ice creams etc. I have a question about the breads. I finally broke down
and bought a loaf. Its not awful, its not ...

There is a lot written on how to add 5 carbs a week till you reach your
Critical Carbohydrate Level for Losing (CCLL).  But what are your personal
experiences during these weeks?
Did you find you temporarily gained a few pounds?

1st post from lurker WEAKNESS continues after 6 weeks21 Mar 2004 20:36 GMT8
Hi to all,
I've been on Atkins for 6 weeks now. Induction went fine, with big weight
drop, as predicted. I've been very slow to lose any more, so I tried staying
on the 20-25 carb range. For the last few weeks I've been very weak and
"BCD" Issues21 Mar 2004 20:35 GMT30
I never ate a Brownie, Cookie, or DOnut for about a year. I broke down 2
weeks ago and had a brownie 2 weeks ago and now have been eating brownies,
cookies, and donuts. I constantly think about them and binge on them
whenever I am near them. Any suggestions for getting off the ...
Finally, morning blood sugar is down21 Mar 2004 20:06 GMT17
I upped my metformin to 1000 mg./day one week ago. My last 2 morning
readings were 104 and 100. Amazing. The drug gave that extra little
oomph that low carbing hadn't provided, even during induction. I hope
they get a bit lower, but this is very good.
PING: DigitalVinyl21 Mar 2004 19:40 GMT5
You've converted all your music from various sources into digital form
right?
I'm looking for software that will help me move something from a
cassette into mp3 with each track separated.  So far all I've been
REC:  Ricotta Stuffed Grape Leaves21 Mar 2004 18:06 GMT2
I loved stuffed grape leaves, but stopped eating them because the rice
was too carby.
Found this recipe today, have yet to make it, but it sounds GREAT.
These would be great for a cocktail party.

I'm working in at UC Davis, I went for a bike ride today to check it
out. The pavement isn't the best, but I think it'll make a nice skate,
when I bring them to work:
