Low Carb MLM - Is this for real?20 Mar 2004 21:04 GMT18
Greetings, I am on Atkins and have lost about 35 pounds (down to 227
at 5'9"). A friend just emailed me about a new "great opportunity"
since he knew I was into low carb big time (trying to be "littler"
time). Anyway, the pitch is that this network marketing company is
5 days in 20 Mar 2004 20:33 GMT4
no headaches and no carb flu and 8 lbs down. I know most of it is water but
it's gone :o)  Finding that I am eating less now as I am full up and more
satisfied more easily than before this.  I have prepared DH and children's
carbs for their lunchboxes and dinners in the evening etc ...
I have Stopped losing weight20 Mar 2004 17:49 GMT12
I have been good and followed my low carb diet since last June.  I dropped
down to about 233 from about 295.
My wife says I look good, but I still see a huge gut when I look in the
mirror.  I have lost a lot of weight in my legs and butt, but I really
Blood in Urine ( Hematuria)20 Mar 2004 17:46 GMT6
Been On Atkins for approx. 4 months. Have lost 30 pounds and feel
great. Noticed, however, darkness in urine when I get dehydrated. Went
to Doctor for check up and urine test revealed "moderate" amount of
blood in urine. Checked prostate and said it was fine. Has ordered
Akins cannot work as its written20 Mar 2004 17:31 GMT55
All of you who are doing atkins and counting calories at the
same time are not doing it properly.
It is not how it is written.
If you are doing it that way then the reason it has worked so far for you is
beef jerky20 Mar 2004 17:24 GMT7
At the store beef jerky in the package contains some carbs and often some
sugar. On fitday.com they show beef jerky as having like 10 carbs.
I bought some london broil steaks and sliced them up. Rolled the slices in
garlic, salt, pepper and dried them. Do they still have carbs this ...

Today's eating20 Mar 2004 16:08 GMT5
Okeydoke.  I started tracking everything I eat on Fitday today, and I mean
_everything_.  Well, almost.  I didn't enter my water because I have no
idea how much I drink, I just know it's a lot.  But I even entered how much
salt, pepper, and basil I used, in my best estimation.
More on bad and good sugar20 Mar 2004 14:52 GMT2
A few days ago I posted about bad reactions I had to a hard candy with
sucralose and sorbitol.
I decided to try a different brand of sugarless hard candy. It didn't
specifically list sorbitol or sucralose in the ingredients. In fact, the
Arby's New Low Carb Menu??20 Mar 2004 14:12 GMT6
I was driving by a local Arby's yesterday and was shocked to see on
their sign "Our New Arby's Low Carby Menu is Here!".  I had seen no
advertising of it anywhere else, no commercials, nothing.
I just went to their web site and sure enough, near the end of their
Eating less vs. burning carbs20 Mar 2004 08:31 GMT3
I'm starting to eat less of low carb/low cal foods and my weight loss is
once again moving forward.  I just have to finish off my spare tire.  My
question, is it better to eat less, do cardio workouts, or both?
How long does the fatigue last?20 Mar 2004 06:23 GMT5
Here's my deal...
I'm a fairly new low-carber. Have gradually "eased" my way into it. I
started off taking smaller carb portions. At this point I do not eat
bread or pasta. My diet includes meat, eggs, cheese, nuts. I freely
The Thing About Binges20 Mar 2004 03:33 GMT11
Binges don't work.
You start off stressed-out and needing comfort about {issue}.
You consume vast amounts of foods that are not part of your plan.
You end up still stressed-out and needing comfort about {issue},
Megadose C and stalls?20 Mar 2004 02:57 GMT3
Has anyone else tried taking megadose Vitamin C during a low carb diet?
I recently upped my dose of Vitamin C to 12 to 14 grams per day using timed
release tablets.  My weight loss didn't stop, but it did slow down quite
bit.  I'm not sure if it is a coincidence or not.
sunflower seeds at Chick-Fil-A20 Mar 2004 02:40 GMT1
I was in a mall at lunchtime today, and after scouting around the food
court, the chargrilled chicken garden salad from Chick-Fil-A looked like
the best choice.  Along with the useless bag of croutons, they included a
packet of sunflower seed kernels too.  I was pleased with that (I ...
