Stalled -argghh19 Mar 2004 07:22 GMT46
I'm in the second week of induction and things have been going well for me
with a loss of 14 lbs - though I've been stalled the last few days.
This puzzles me because I've been keeping the ketostix purple to the tune of
"light" to "moderate" on the bottle color chart.
Effect of cheating on keto strips19 Mar 2004 06:27 GMT4
I was wondering what kind of delay there is from the point of cheating on
the diet, to the point of noticing that your out of ketosis by reading the
keto strips.
For example, if I accidetally cheat (the other night I had ordered some
Progress so far19 Mar 2004 06:25 GMT6
I've been doing Atkins since 2/29.  The first two weeks on induction I lost
6.5 lbs out of my goal of 24.5.  I have contined to stay on induction (this
is the third week), and have seen the scale go up and down by 1 or two
pounds daily, without a further drop in weight.
Backslide to the Pit19 Mar 2004 05:29 GMT23
So here I am, low carb, confident and looking good at 124 pounds. I've
been at this stuff for a while and I know my limits and triggers. Or
so I thought.......
I visited my MIL and her second husband in Pittsburgh last weekend.
Goal weight question19 Mar 2004 04:55 GMT31
I've noticed a few people now and then posting that they are within 5
pounds of their goal weight.  Sometimes it's like, 1 or 2 pounds. Are most
people really that specific with their goals?  My goal is 130-ish.  I
really don't think I would be noticably different, looks-wise or
My blood results19 Mar 2004 04:46 GMT6
I'm not too unhappy with my blood test results this time. I had lost
10 pounds, and my blood pressure was not bad.

A friend was just diagnosed by her doc with liver impurities.  More tests
to come. Any idea how this relates to her doing LC for the last year?

no-smoking progress19 Mar 2004 03:06 GMT14
OK, so I'm not doing so bad.  I've not shouted, screamed or drawn blood
since I last smoked ( I don't like to think of myself as a non-smoker, just
that I don't smoke at the moment).  I did get really really hungry, which I
guess is normal.

Good sugars? Bad sugars?19 Mar 2004 02:10 GMT19
What is the low-down on sugars that cause digestive distress?
I tried some non-sugar hard candies the other day that were sweetened with
something called sucralose. After just eating a few I knew it was affecting
me badly.
Your favorite breakfast food?19 Mar 2004 01:35 GMT57
What is everyone's favorite breakfast food?  I have been eating eggs and
bacon for almost a week.  Is there another solution for
breakfast...something as convenient as eggs and bacon?  I have looked at
several recipes, but everything looks like it takes at least four

OTC Medication to Help with Sugar Alcohol Reaction?19 Mar 2004 00:20 GMT14
With so many new reduced carb products coming out these days that
include Sugar Alcohol, I was wondering if anyone has found an over the
counter medication that can be used to help counter the negative
reaction so many of us have.
