Spanish cooking17 Mar 2004 03:32 GMT2
Hi,
I'm looking to do some entertaining soon, and I'd like to make it a Spanish
evening.  I have no idea, though, what makes up a typical Spanish meal.
I've heard of paella and tapas, but other than that I have no clue.  If
Chinese restaurant & progress17 Mar 2004 03:04 GMT10
My wife and I tried a new Chinese restaurant in town which was a challenge
after being on LC for just 15 days. I had the hot & sour soup for starters
and did their Mongolian BBQ as the main entree (you pick all the
ingredients and they grill it for you). I stayed with green veggies,
Sugar Alcohols (various names) 17 Mar 2004 00:33 GMT15
When food shopping today I was surprised that there are actually some
decent LC options that aren't filled with sugar alchohols and
splenda/nutrasweet. Found several makes of breads in the local Super
Stop-n-Shop. Arnold's had 3-4 varieties: 9 carbs, 3 fiber. no
Tiredness in arms/legs17 Mar 2004 00:27 GMT1
Wondering if this is happening to anyone or is a normal part of
low-carbing.
I was starting to exercise at first, but in the past week and a half
I'm experiencing a lot of tiredness and fatigue in my arms and legs.

My sister sent me in this direction when I asked her about groups for
following Atkins/locarb ( thanks Kaye)  I have lurked for just under a week
and been doing Atkins for 2 full days, this is my third day.   I did try it
once before but it was my TOM and I got so ill and such bad ...
I've made a new promise to myself:  to no longer get sucked into flame threads16 Mar 2004 23:03 GMT15
I've made a new promise to myself to no longer get sucked into threads that
feature flame wars having to do with OT subjects like politics and religion,
and nothing to do with low-carb eating.
We hopefully all have at least one thing in common -- our low-carb way of
Carb-short days?16 Mar 2004 22:57 GMT24
I'm in OWL and still looking for my CCLL.
Just wondering what people do on days when your carbs are very low.
Do you try to bring your carbs up by eating something carby before end
of day??
HELP! Growing in Inches and Depressed16 Mar 2004 22:55 GMT9
Couple O questions:
I've had a couple of tough months and I backslid quite a bit.... Nothing
horrific but I got into the habit of using a lot of fake low carb crap (no
offense) which is something I just haven't done. I guess I was trying to
Weight training and low-carb diet16 Mar 2004 21:59 GMT2
I returned to weight training five months a go, after a four year break.
Those four years were spent working long hours at the office, fueled by
pizza, burgers and beer after the work. No wonder my weight shot up 25
pounds. I looked absolutely horrible. I did not only gain fat, I ...

St Patty's Day16 Mar 2004 21:03 GMT5
Man, this is a very tough time for a me.  I am a bagpiper and am doing
parties and so on this past Saturday and this Wednesday and Thursday.
Guinness is being poured and I am drinking it.  It is just too hard not to.
I will have to go back on Induction levels for a week, just to get ...
So who all here has taken the "slow path" to low carbing?16 Mar 2004 20:42 GMT11
I have been going about this gradually - not really following any kind
of plan - first cutting out sugars/white foods and making
replacements/substitutions. I wasn't trying to lose weight, I just
didn't want to feel sick anymore. I read labels for sugar content and
Strattera and Hitting Bottom16 Mar 2004 19:22 GMT23
I was recently (finally) diagnosed with ADHD, and was put on Strattera for
a month's trial.  Let me tell you, people, I was an eating machine!  I ate
until I was so full and bloated that I was in pain ... and was still
looking for food.
Lemon Pepper - NOT16 Mar 2004 19:03 GMT8
I bought some lemon pepper seasoning, and sauteed some cut up chicken breasts.
I proceeded to season with the lemon pepper seasoning, while adding a little
sour cream and heavy cream to make delightful light sauce, threw in a handful
of shredded cheese, and all looked great.
