Recent grocery deals 'n observations16 Mar 2004 17:49 GMT8
We did our weekly grocery shopping yesterday (Sunday) and I thought
I'd share a couple of things:
DH and I hadn't thought about it ahead of time, but with St. Patrick's
Day coming up, our local MegaGroceryMart (Safeway) had corned beef
south beach diet/atkins16 Mar 2004 17:12 GMT16
I have been doing atkins for the past 7 months but have been stuck at the
same weight for the past 4 and I am wondering whether to try the south beach
diet instead.  I am still keeping to the induction levels of atkins plus a
slice of melon a day and 75 grams of almond nuts.  I ...
Speaking of frankenfood16 Mar 2004 15:49 GMT12
In my mind, the link between saturated fat and heart disease is a tenuous
connection, but they keep doing things to lower saturated fat content:

Doctor16 Mar 2004 15:27 GMT1
I went to the doctor today. I've been having terrible pain in my leg
right at the top on the side. Over the weekend I could barely walk. The
doctor said it was my sciatic nerve. He gave me a steroid shot and a
anti inflammatory drug. So far it isn't any better but I guess I'm
SBD vegetarian option?16 Mar 2004 15:00 GMT2
Hi - I would like to start the SBD online.  They say that Dr. Agatston has
developed alternatives for vegetarians.  However, it costs $60. to sign up
(though $40 of that is refundable if one quits at the end of the first
month).  I don't want to invest even $20. if I can't use the ...
Low Carb Joint Pain16 Mar 2004 14:55 GMT25
I've lost almost 20 pounds over the last 3 months by going
nearly zero carb on workdays (M-F) and eating more balanced
meals on weekends. I lift weights & run on a regular basis
and I've noticed that after 2 or 3 days of nearly no carbs,
Junior/Senior Prom Tonight16 Mar 2004 14:51 GMT43
I am so exceedingly unpopular with my students that they made me be the
junior class sponsor this year. The junior class is responsible for putting
on the prom each year. As their sponsor I have to be there. After the king
and queen are crowned, there is a traditional cake that is ...
Atkins: The Complete Cookbook16 Mar 2004 14:14 GMT2
Does anyone have this cookbook?  Is it good?
I saw it today in BJ's, and almost bought it, but don't want something that
is duplicating the many I already have.

Cream of Mushroom Soup16 Mar 2004 12:12 GMT4
I was wondering how to make this.  I was thinking just heavy whipping cream
and chicken broth and mushrooms.  What else would make this good?  Thank
you.
Can Anyone Find La Tortilla Factory Tortillas In-Stock Anywhere?16 Mar 2004 12:08 GMT16
A while back, I ordered some La Tortilla Factory tortillas (the
smaller size) from Aktins directly and have run out. I also want to
switch to their larger sized tortillas so I can make subway-like wraps
at home.

I read and then hear on the news that a new "fat tax" is trying to be
pushed in States. To gain more revenue and try and get people to slim
down. The "fat tax" would be on candy, soda drinks, junk food. Whats
others thoughts on this? Its similair in ways to the taxes on

At the End of February , I was on my way to a friend's sons' bday
party with my kids , when a young gal turned sharply in front of me on

Flatten some chicken breasts w/ mallet, mix some cream cheese and jalapeno

bacon, and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Yum :)
