LowCarb chatroom now open!14 Mar 2004 04:45 GMT4
I finally gave in and did it. I mixed the 2 joys in my life: Low-Carbing
& Online Chatting.
I made a chatroom in TalkCity called "LowCarbLifestyle". You can get to
it by going to  http://forums.talkcity.com/tc-LowCarb1/
What have you done for me lately?14 Mar 2004 04:34 GMT5
That's the question I've started asking the food I eat (not that I expect an
answer, though).
After doing so, I've dumped a lot of the food that I thought was doing right
by me but in actuality was treating me worse than a lazy, good for nothing
Noodle Question14 Mar 2004 04:26 GMT16
In regards to South Beach diet (which allows good carbs in phases 2 and 3)
We know that whole grain noodles are better than standard.
If you must eat another kind of noodle and whole grain is not an option,
what's better, rice noodle or egg noodle?

what I need for support and to keep me focused.
I started Atkins exactly one month ago today. I originally weighed 198. (I
New LC Tortillas from Mission14 Mar 2004 00:37 GMT3
I have had the La Favorita tortillas, yeah they work, but they are not the
best. I have read all of the rave about Subway's being too good to be LC.
Finally had one the other day - they are good. Today I saw LC tortillas from
Mission. These are in both regular as well as wheat. I ...
2 quick questions13 Mar 2004 23:03 GMT12
I started on LC about 2 and a half months ago.  I'm currently  5'10" 155lbs.
down from 172 lbs.  Over the last week or so my weight loss has stopped.  My
first question, should I go back on induction for another 2 weeks?
My second question, I'd like to have a flat stomach/chest (not ...

Please, I only eat chicken, steak and maybe ground beef and no seafood.  I am so sick of trying to come up with menus to satisfy the Induction rules.  We start Atkins on Monday.  Please help me with dinner ideas.  What was your favorite Induction dinner?
Thanks so much!

Day Two13 Mar 2004 22:45 GMT1
Well, the good news is, I weighed 3.5 pounds more yesterday morning than I
did this morning.
The bad news is, my fasting blood sugar was 221 today.  I suppose it's
going to take awhile for my levels to come down.  I hadn't tested in
cooking ribs13 Mar 2004 22:39 GMT30
The local grocery store had country style ribs on sale, so I bought
some.  Now, any good suggestions on how to cook them??  The only way
I've ever had them was barbecued, but I don't have a bbq.  Other ideas?

Jean B. -- stuff you were looking for13 Mar 2004 22:22 GMT4
Jean -- I was in Bedford today and went into the Stop & Shop on Great Road.
They had the Heinz One-Carb ketchup there.  (There was a sign saying
"Sorry, this product is temporarily unavailable" hanging right below about
a dozen bottles of it :-)
Feel Like Quitting Your Plan? (Pics)13 Mar 2004 22:06 GMT17
I've decided to throw caution to the wind, and share my progress photos.
Why?  Because I think they could be helpful to people struggling with the
question of whether or not to stay on their plan.  Backsliding is not a
good thing, and I'm here to prove it.
