After reading the threads dealing with counting calories and seeing all the
advice about about it and using fitday, I feel compelled to put in my 2
cents.
Diets that rely on calorie counting have been a miserable failure for me and

From what I've read on Atkins, MOST breakfast cereals should be avoided.
But, there must be some that are low-carb, high fibre and without sugar.
Does anyone here know if such a cereal exists? and if so what is it known
as?

I haven't tried them but when I was in subway last week for lunch I ordered
my normal salad. When they asked what type of dressing I said oil and
vinegar packs, they were out. So I asked what type of dressing they use on
the Atkins wraps she said they use their regular ranch ...

I was out shopping this morning, and stopped at Rubio's Fish Tacos for
lunch.  They now have a lettuce wrap low carb sandwich!  In all
honesty, I didn't check out the contents so don't know how accurate
they are in calling it low carb (I haven't begun my regimen just yet

I haven't made any onion soup since I started low carbing as onions are sort
of carby but had a hankering for some tonight so I invented a new soup with
some lower carb additions. It turned out very tasty.

The book says to count sweetners as one carb I am assuming he means other
than splenda????

I saw a recipe for these while browsing in a bookstore Sunday. The book was
500 LC recipes or somethink like that. The author was Carpender. Has anyone
made these?They sound easy and good. I've made duck cracklings from duck
skin and I'm sure its about the same. My question is can ...

Yesterday I was at Big Lots (discount/closeout store) and saw bags of
chips called "Garcia Lo's" - "Lo Carb Tortilla Chips".
(And yes, I know, tortilla chips are not a low carb food.)

Help! Last month a managed to loose a whopping 8 lbs on  the monthly
challange board. Then on March first, after smoking for over 20 years
I quit, Yipee!. I'm so glad a finally did it, and I plegde to myself
that I'll never go back.
