Headache from half-and-half?? Makes no sense!!11 Mar 2004 04:23 GMT3
This makes no sense folks - I'm getting a slight headache after
drinking my favorite sweet treat (vanilla red tea [no caffeine] with
half and half and 1 pack of Splenda). According to the package, the
amount of half and half I used only has 1 gram of carbs. Also had this
OT? Warehouse clubs11 Mar 2004 04:09 GMT49
It seems to me that a lot of people who read this ng belong to a warehouse
club like Sam's club, and I was wondering which club is best, whether
anybody did a head-to-head comparison or just settled for the closest one,
or what.
damn it, hungry11 Mar 2004 02:25 GMT7
I already ate twice today. I got up around 11 in the morninh, had scrambled
eggs and ham at noon, had brocolli and a grilled chicken breast at around
6.  Then I went out to karaoke, had a grand time, drank two light beers and
didn't get any food.  So now I'm home at 2 AM and I'm ...
Anyone on Atkins who smokes pot?:)11 Mar 2004 02:22 GMT12
Seriously, if you wouldn't mind E-Mailing me, I got a question to ask you,
privately.  Don't worry about me getting to many E-Mails (I doubt that I
would anyways) but it's a question that wont hurt being answered by more
then one.

You think G-d doesn't care about you? In a way, enormously depressing.
"I am alone and unloved in an uncaring world. There is not even an
all-compassionate Deity to fall back upon. But then again, it lifts a
great burden off my shoulders. The great inner turmoil which is the
Treadmill Gift11 Mar 2004 00:48 GMT5
Good news. Some very good friends of mine decided to get a new treadmill
and gave their old one to me.
It's a LifeStyler 1000 ( bought at Sears). The body monitor plug in and
owners manual are missing, but I called their parts department. and I
First full day not smoking10 Mar 2004 23:34 GMT14
Ok, so it was coming.  The only reason that I started somking again (I had
quit for 8 years), was to defy my ex-husband who "forbade" me to smoke.  I
know, chidish, but I guess the smell kept him away (hurrah).
So, after a whole day, more like 32 hours of not smoking, I'm not snappy ...
Calories & Metabolism10 Mar 2004 22:35 GMT42
I've been doing pretty good, not too many cravings (I'd say any cravings I
have had are due to emotional triggers rather than physical) but at the same
time, I'm wondering if I restrict my calories too much to soon, am I going
to screw my metabolism?  For example at my weight and ...
low carb treats10 Mar 2004 19:51 GMT7
Just found this site.

Not sure if it is a good thing or not.
this explains a lot!10 Mar 2004 18:32 GMT16
March 2, 2004 -- The Atkins Diet and other weight-loss plans that
limit carbohydrates can turn you into a sourpuss, a new study shows.
Scientists found carbohydrates help boost the production of serotonin
which controls emotions and a shortage can lead to mood swings and
Entenman's "low-carb" pastries10 Mar 2004 18:26 GMT58
I suppose it was only logical that Entenman's would come up with a
"low-carb" line of goodies since they have a "low-fat" line.  I don't
know if Entenman's is local to New England or the Northeast but
anyway...I walked into the supermarket this morning and
Rapid Weight Gain Over Holidays10 Mar 2004 16:52 GMT8
I've been practicing this WOE for over a year now, and I'm down 52
pounds (goal is 60).  Overall LC eating couldn't be better for me.  My
body likes it and after an initial adjustment it's been pretty
painless.
Exercise10 Mar 2004 16:48 GMT12
Howdy
So tomorrow, I'm starting a new job and I know that it will be a lot less
physical than the role that I am currently in.
Yup, it's way overdue time that I start propper exercise.  I was wondering,
JC: Curb Your Anger to Avoid Weight Gain (you too, Queenie)10 Mar 2004 16:44 GMT16
The more dysfunctional the anger, the heavier the person," study
author Dr. William Mueller told Reuters Health.
Mueller, who is based at the University of Texas Health Science Center
at Houston, in the School of Public Health, noted that research in
My problem with Atkins detractors10 Mar 2004 15:22 GMT5
I've been lurking here for a while and it seems that most
folks objections to Atkins are based not on science or
medical fact, but on intuitive beliefs and superstitions
(e.g. fatty food must make you fat, food that tastes good
