| Can a diabetic lose weight on this diet? | 05 Mar 2004 14:30 GMT | 21 |
I have read a few articles on this controversial diet, but all seem to be a little vague about diabetic weight loss. I mentioned the Atkins diet to my doctor and he just about fell off his chair(he's old school). I was told that the pills I take, Metformin and Glyburide, would not ...

| Red Wine Vinegar & carbs? | 05 Mar 2004 14:26 GMT | 4 |
I've been using for two days now the Red Wine Vinegar dressing at my work cafeteria. It seems tangy like vinegar, but I can't tell if it has any carb/sugar content. The workers don't know what's in it, it comes in a carafe that they fill from an even biger carafe ;-) The Carb ...

| Costco find | 05 Mar 2004 12:08 GMT | 11 |
Costco has some stuffed peppers in oil (canola and olive). The peppers are stuffed with prusciotto and I think cheese. They don't have too many carbs.

| QVC is pushing low carb food today | 05 Mar 2004 05:51 GMT | 2 |
QVC is going to town with all kinds of wonderous LC food products today. Things like chicken parmesan, where the guy explains how they came up with a special sauce so that an umbreaded chicken breast with the sauce and cheese comes in at 5g carbs. Funny, I have lots of jars

| QVC "low Carb" -NOT | 05 Mar 2004 05:47 GMT | 1 |
I was watching a QVC 2 hour special on low carb. Almost every item had carbs! They would hold up a half a slice of bread and say the breaded chicken, or cheesecake only had that many carbs per serving. They spoke as if that half slice of bread was OK. To me that is too much. ...

| Second guessing myself | 05 Mar 2004 04:12 GMT | 10 |
This morning I was sitting down to a little unusual breakfast or steak and cheese omelet. I had some left-over steak. Anyway, as I was enjoying this meal, I just can't help but think back on what our government has been telling us for so many years about our food pyramid. I guess ...

| Happened again | 05 Mar 2004 02:13 GMT | 26 |
Tonight I bought some low carb tortillas to go with dinner and when it came time to eat, I didn't want any. It's like the bread I bought. It's been sitting there for a week +. I had one slice. It just has no appeal. It sounds good in the store but when it comes time for the meal I'm ...
