Soy27 Mar 2004 15:21 GMT12
I know that it is a staple on many Low Carb diets.  And I am aware that it
isn't an option while I'm on induction.  But my question is, how do you deal
with the taste?  When I tried the soy drinks as well as soy flour to make
anything, it tasted so horrid I had to throw it out.  ...
Low carb BBQ ribs?27 Mar 2004 15:18 GMT9
We have a taste-alike recipe for Applebee's bbq sauce...lots of
ketchup and brown sugar.
I did a Google and found a couple of recipes, but I was wondering if
anyone can offer a recipe that you've actually tried and liked.
Frustrating27 Mar 2004 13:42 GMT8
I just need to vent.
Why do so many people think that the Atkins diet and low-carb eating in general
means no vegetables?  I just read something last night by a nutritionist who
said that low-carb dieters don't eat vegetables.  Has she read the book?  I
Here's something helpful...27 Mar 2004 12:14 GMT4
This may be of some help to anyone interested in losing serious weight,
and not just a few vanity pounds.  My sister-in-law was told a few
months ago that she needed to lower her cholesterol or go on medication.
Of course, we all know that the way to do this is to alter your ...

I am buying some things from netrition.com.  I know people say the La
Tortilla's are good but I also saw Mama Lupe's which they sell.  Do most
people like the La Tortilla better?  Has anyone tried the Mama Lupe's.  I
have Touyafan which I bought in the grocery store, and it is a ...
Which Supplements and Why?27 Mar 2004 08:26 GMT4
Last year, I remember taking a zillion supplements, but now I don't
remenber the reason for taking most of them.  These are the ones I
remember, but don't know why I took them:
    Multi-Vitamin/Mineral (this one I understand))

Cheap "low carb" bread27 Mar 2004 05:02 GMT8
I went to the store today to pick up some grocery and decided for sh.ts and
giggles I would check out the $5 loaves of low carb bread that is always
being discussed in here. So i come across this bread that wasn't labeled to
be low carb. It's called Merita Lite D'italiano. The ...
the fad is ending...wal-mart news...27 Mar 2004 04:58 GMT34
The local Wal-Mart started a large low carb section a few months
ago... and now they are selling much of the stuff for 50-75% off.
The manager of the local supercenter said LC sales are slower and
slower, so they will not be reordering most of the items. A lot of
Flax seed vs. flax meal27 Mar 2004 04:14 GMT20
Does flax seed have to be ground into meal in order to be efficacious?
I've been putting whole flax seed in my morning protein drink (Hood
carb-controlled dairy bev, protein powder {Isopure Vanilla}, 1/2 cup
of frozen fruit sans sugar like blueberries or strawberries).  Maybe

Induction Report27 Mar 2004 03:26 GMT4
So far, I'm right on pace with my original induction.  6 pounds last time,
6 pounds this time.
The major difference this time is that I've been working out the whole
time.  We go to the gym once or twice a day, every day.   When I'm not at
