Going it alone...26 Mar 2004 19:38 GMT9
Well, after 6 weeks and the wife not losing a single pound (but some inches
from the water loss) I'm now going it alone as she has switched back to
low-cal. Oh well, just means I get to gnosh on some of the bachelor LC stuff
that I've not been playing with :-) Sausage, sauerkraut, ...
Moderate to low carb bread26 Mar 2004 19:32 GMT10
I have tried a few low-carb breads and found them somewhat disappointing.
Sometimes they are lower carb just by virtue of the weight of the slice.
In my quest for a bread I liked I came across Arnold Stoneground 100% Whole
Wheat Bread (UPC 7341002250.)  It is not advertised as low ...
Splenda tabs in England, where to find?26 Mar 2004 17:28 GMT9
Blank
Attention all Brits,
I am going to England...where can I find Splenda tablets? Are they hard to find? Can you find them in grocery stores or do you have to go to the pharmacy (chemist?).
Thanks!
pizza crust damage control26 Mar 2004 14:45 GMT5
Since the middle of 1989, I've been part of a group of women that meets monthly
to talk, laugh, and have dinner.  Since 1995, the menu has always been the
same:  pizza.  I wasn't going to suggest a change.  I figured this would be my
highest carb night of the month, each month from ...
Re: colonoscopy26 Mar 2004 12:59 GMT3
I advocate a law mandating that doctors (especially proctologists, but
everyone with an MD) have to drink that fleets-ginger ale concoction once a
week.  Betcha then they would come up with something we could tolerate.
And my weight shot up to 200 and I am looking very pregnant, ...
90 lbs down, time for some pictures26 Mar 2004 12:38 GMT60
Well, it's taken a while, but I finally feel I can post some pictures.
I've been motivated by what many people in this group have achieved, and
the support and information available.
There are 2 pictures from about a year ago, and two from today.  They
Some encuraging news on maintainance26 Mar 2004 10:35 GMT29
I just wanted to share this.  This past week I was a idiot when it came to
eating and drinking beer.  During the course of the week I drank two cases
(at least) of Guinness and three pints of Hagan Daaz after eating some late
night food which was to slow the effects of alcohol and ...
OT: Hypothyroid?  Any suggestions?26 Mar 2004 09:24 GMT5
Howdy all
I've just been told that I am hypothyroid and took my first pill today.  In a
way, it's good to know WHY I have not lost (and indeed gained) weight over the
last months, in spite of being very careful about the calories and carbs.  And
New dorky pic of me!26 Mar 2004 08:16 GMT204
My date took this pic of me when we went bowling on Sunday.

The expression on my face is pretty much "Oh crap he's taking my picture."
I was not prepared.  Anyway, I'm 10-ish pounds lighter than in the flame
What kind of olive oil?26 Mar 2004 08:11 GMT8
Could someone please explain to me the difference between pure olive oil,
virgin olive oil and EXTRA virgin olive oil?? I know price wise they go up
in price but what is difference nutritionally or do they just 'taste'
better, the higher they go up the price scale? I want to buy ...
My first major Milestone26 Mar 2004 05:57 GMT20
I don't post much, but I am an avid reader of the group since mid October
2003 when I started this little adventure. Ive found the success stories on
this group have really helped me focus (some of you are AMAZING!) so when I
met a bit of a milestone today I decided to post and let ...
Yaay shopping26 Mar 2004 05:33 GMT3
Ok, so today I went shopping.  NO, it's not my TOM, I just thought I would.
So the local department store had a sale on, not only was a jacket that I
had my eye on on sale, I fitted in a UK size 12.
HURRAH.
REC: Faux Fried Rice26 Mar 2004 04:45 GMT11
Had this for dinner tonight and DH wouldn't have known it wasn't rice if I
hadn't told him. This was REALLY good!!  Original recipe from
http://headed-west.com/veggies2.htm but I changed it a bit. Here's my take
on it:
A real pain in the butt26 Mar 2004 04:21 GMT20
Ouch!  The day before yesterday I started experiencing an intermittent pain
in my left butt cheek.  Ouch.  When it's really bad it radiates down my leg.
Just a couple of weeks ago I read about piriformis syndrome[1] on
misc.fitness.weights - and now I fear this is what I am ...
Newsgroup for Nasty Fat Bitches26 Mar 2004 04:16 GMT18
This must be one of those newsgroups where big fat obese sloppy women
hang out and talk about diets that never work because these women are
so nasty and ugly that they cant find a man so they eat and eat and
eat.  These are the women who smell from all the molds and funguses
