This water business...11 May 2004 09:51 GMT19
...has gotten completly out of hand.
I posted some time ago that when I increased the intensity of my
workouts, my water intake increased to 2 liters per workout (counting
the time immediatly before, during and immediatly after my workout).

Newb Question Re: Mission Tortillas11 May 2004 06:57 GMT11
Now I'm puzzled. I couldn't find LC tortillas in FitDay, so I added a
new custom food item for it.
Taken from the wrapper (soft taco size):
Serving size: 1 tortilla

Today someone at work -- who know that  I have lost a lot of weight on
low-carb -- told me that his teenage daughter is overweight, and needs to
lose at least 50 pounds.  She has tried other diets unsuccessfully.  He
asked me if I could give him an idea of what she could eat that's ...

Cheated.11 May 2004 01:36 GMT23
Last night, I drank a half a bottle of Smirnoff Ice and did a Jell-O shot.
(The Jell-O was strawberry, not the sugarfree kind.)
I've been on Atkins for a bit over 2 weeks, and yesterday around 6 p.m., found
I was down 8 lbs.
CarbWell's11 May 2004 01:04 GMT7
I saw these yesterday at the grocery store.  Yes, right next to the deathly
SnackWell's.  I was in a hurry, so I just glanced at the label.  The box I
looked at (didn't buy) was a "fudge-striped" variety, but I think there were
several choices available.  If I recall correctly, they ...
Can't Eat10 May 2004 22:21 GMT29
This is day two of "everything edible disgusts me."
Yesterday, I couldn't bring myself to even try to eat until late afternoon.
I made a huge salad.  It's a good thing my dogs like salad.  Crash had a
package of Snickerdoodles (my favorite cookie).  I asked for one, took one
Low carb vs minor league baseball10 May 2004 22:06 GMT8
We have a partial season ticket plan for the games of a minor league baseball
team.  I knew this was going to be a minefield.  In previous years, I would
have the following:  large Pepsi, large fries, hot Italian sausage on bun with
brown mustard, second large Pepsi or a beer, large ...
Yerba Mate10 May 2004 21:41 GMT3
I was wondering if anyone has any info on the carb content, if any, of
brewed Yerba Mate. My husband and I switched from coffee several months
ago. We really like the flavour, and it has a great stimulant effect
without the jitters of caffeine. We brew a pot every morning in our

Scary Quizno's ad10 May 2004 19:45 GMT13
I saw an online advertisement for the new Quizno's flatbread sandwiches, and
they look pretty tasty, so I looked closer.  In the fine print:
"Net Carbohydrates=total carbohydrates - (minus) dietary fiber - (minus)
sugars."
No response from Dreamfield's pasta about blood glucose spikes10 May 2004 19:08 GMT6
In response to an issue raised about this pasta by diabetics whose sugar spiked
upon eating it in two day old macaroni salad, and some eating it fresh, I
emailed Dreamfields Foods to ask if cooking time or time length of time after
Water management & low-carb10 May 2004 18:58 GMT34
We all know that significant amounts of water are bound to glycogen, I
believe it's to the ratio of four molecules of dihydrogen monoxide per
molecule of stored carbohydrate, or something like that. My question is --
does the body dip into glycogen (or something else) to keep your ...
any one here taking seritonin medications?10 May 2004 18:39 GMT25
In the new atkins book it says that medications that control seritonin in

overcome it?
