Induction question06 Jan 2005 06:25 GMT52
I'm forgetting something here, so I think I'll ask.  In Atkins book,
eggs are listed as a free food.  But Fitday and the USDA website both
state that there are .4 carbs per large cooked egg.  I had 3 with
breakfast, and Fitday recorded it as 2g carbs-in reality that should be
glycemic index, carbs and white rice vs brown rice06 Jan 2005 04:31 GMT3
Not that I'm necessarily thinking of eating either, but since I was
checking out Japanese soba I also thought I'd compare that to rice, the
main staple here in Japan. Actually white rice is the main staple here;
brown rice is much less used.
Anyone here use FitDay06 Jan 2005 04:11 GMT15
I am having fits with FitDay. I made a casserole and I put the
ingredients in and of course it thinks I am eating the whole darn
casserole for today, when in fact I am eating 1/4 quarter of it. How
do I rectify this problem. And is there a way to delete past days
Workout while in Ketosis burns FAT or MUSCLES?06 Jan 2005 01:59 GMT9
When we don't have enough carbs (in Ketosis) and do extraneous workout,
do we end up burning muscles or fat or a combination of both?
This is somewhat similar to my previous post, sorry, but I had
something else in mind.
Cholesterol reduction- Any sucess stories?06 Jan 2005 01:49 GMT27

has been going up steadily for about 3 years.  It was at 273 when I
started the diet.  Has anyone had any luck bring down theirs down with

More water generates more Ketones?05 Jan 2005 21:11 GMT9
One website suggested drinking 8 glasses of water PLUS
one extra glass per 25LB you intend to lose.  They
expressed this water is important to flush out Ketones.
My question:

Christmas Progess Photos05 Jan 2005 19:19 GMT10
I just posted a new pic at the URL shown in my sig.  It's slightly
different from my usual progress photos in that I didn't take them AS
progress photos -- I just happened to take them this year and last and I
had used them both in Christmas cards to the family to give with

What uses ketones? Brain and whatelse?05 Jan 2005 11:05 GMT2
I'd always thought ketones are broken down fat that gets consumed
by the ENTIRE body,  muscles, brain, and nervous system.
I read somewhere that Ketones are only consumed by the brain
and nervous system.
