Understandably, the creator and maintainer of the bluedragonfly site
has been troubled by the media hype about her site, and has edited it
drastically.
However, the Internet Wayback Machine can give those who are interested

My weight loss story (LONG)22 Feb 2005 14:37 GMT20
I was born in 1972 as a normal weighing child.  I pretty much led a
normal life, but have always been heavy.  At the age of 3 months, my
mother was feeding me what a 1 year old would eat.  She always said I
was happiest when I ate.

I think I'm allergic to coconut meat. Does that mean that I will be allergic
to coconut milk and oil?
Can I get tested for coconut allergies?

Nails growing22 Feb 2005 13:19 GMT5
Since lowcarbing, my nails are growing at 200% of their "normal" speed.
Has anyone noticed this?
It may not even be the lowcarb but the fact that I had essentially
replaced all breads, rice, potatoes, flour, sugar products with raw, or
Question About Daily Glycemic Load21 Feb 2005 22:31 GMT8
I have two questions about the use of Glycemic Load to control carbs:
1) Let's say you eat two foods at a meal, one with a GL of 7 and one
with a GL of 4.  What is your GL for the meal?  Is it the highest value
(7), the combined value (11), or something else?  Since GL is based on
comprehending my ultimate goal21 Feb 2005 21:05 GMT10
When I started Atkins December 4, 2003 at 234 pounds, the goal weight of 150
pounds sounded like an impossible goal. We are talking about a weight I had
not seen in 20 years. The Atkins.com & Fitday journal asked for my goal
date, so I posted a modest July 20, 2005, my birthday.
Lovin the Low Carb 1-2-3 recipes!!21 Feb 2005 17:56 GMT8
Last night I made 2 of the recipes from the book for dinner. I would do each
again but not neccessarily together.
I made the Cod wrapped in Grape Leaves and also a baked caulifower with
white cheddar. The cauliflower was awesome, I will make that with burgers
This Blaine guy.21 Feb 2005 16:20 GMT3
I still have mixed feelings watching this Blaine guy on Fit TV. He'll have
a marathon on Monday I think.
He has a personality of an armchair. Which is why it seems to sell. Stella
does the same thing, although I can't stand him for whatever reason.

the old house last thursday, but never got the phone turned on at the
new house because the phone company sucks and they don't show up when
they say they will.

turnips, parsnips, etc20 Feb 2005 22:00 GMT3
I've just begun experimenting with root veggies like these, and they're all
delicious and make wonderful chips. They're so good I wonder if they can
really be low-carb. :)
Has anyone got a quick comparison chart of these vs each other and vs
Sodium & Water Weight Gain - A 10-Day Accounting20 Feb 2005 19:35 GMT36
Below is a summary of my weight and sodium intake from 2/1- 2/11.  As
you can see, it started to jump up after ingesting 2000+ mgs of
sodium/day.  After cutting it back down to less than 2000 mgs/day, my
weight returned to what it was before the jump.  CAVEAT:  My TOM is
Canola Oil contains trans fat?20 Feb 2005 18:57 GMT11
While reading the March issue of Low Carb Energy magazine, I came
across an article by Dr. Fred Pescatore regarding common myths about
fat.  According to him, canola oil is the most unhealthful oil on the
market because it contains from 5 to 15 percent trans fat right out of
