Diabetic questions - update17 Feb 2005 03:18 GMT10
So we went several hours at the Doctor's office yesterday.  They took more
blood and are getting that test that will give a history of his blood sugar.
This doctor was not very concerned with the "chance" that he "may" be
diabetic.  She was more concerned about prescribing him 3 ...

I was coming to this group for a while. And went off the low carb thing.
Didn't end up gaining weight, but I did just quit smoking 3 weeks ago.
To avoid any weight gain I've decided to go back on the low carb thing. So
wish me luck!

I stopped in to the drug store to get hubby some Valentines Day chocolate
and there were the Russell Stover Sugar Free candies- in a heart shaped box
marked down to 1/2 off.  I've ignored these things to this point, but
decided I could work a portion into today's carb allowance-

I just got into a mini-argument on Yahoogroups about this.  Apparently

So... last night we found out that hubby is most likely diabetic.
We went into the ER because of his flu... his temperature was 102, his
heartrate was 141... and his blood sugar was 290.
After a few hours they checked his blood sugar again (they had been
