| South Beach Diet Portions | 07 Nov 2005 04:03 GMT | 5 |
I just started phase II of the South Beach Diet. My goals are to lose a little weight but mainly to eat healthier than I normally do. I have lost 10 lbs. and 2 inches off my waist which was my goal, so already I am pretty happy.

| South Beach without the lists? | 07 Nov 2005 00:30 GMT | 3 |
All,
>From what I can tell, SouthBeachDiet takes a sensible approach to consumption, and I'm interested in following it. However, I'm not interested in following strict lists. I'm a label

I'm not acutally a low carber but watch for recipes for people at work. I found this one one of the plant forums i subscribe to. I know small kids probably wouldn't enjoy it but if you have relatives staying over the holidays?

Hi All, Not sure if you might remember, but I wrote about 3 weeks ago asking whether it's possible to lose weight while taking doxepin (an old

| Lactose and Genetics | 05 Nov 2005 00:07 GMT | 5 |
I found the following article interesting, especially this paragraph: "Worldwide, most people are unable to produce large amounts of lactase. It's mainly northern Europeans and a few populations in Africa who developed the genetic mutation that allows them to

So, I've been on controlled carb for two years now. The last 2 weeks, I have had stomach pain. I go to see the doc yesterday and she says: "I think your gall bladder is acting up." "What do I do?" sez I. "Go forth and eat a low fat diet until we can run

| Slow Network Trouble Suggestion | 03 Nov 2005 20:39 GMT | 4 |
It is possible that the trouble could be the RJ45 port on the router or switch (or the cable). Before changing the network card, use of a different RJ45 port on the network box will easily get rid of this as a potential source of trouble, and might save you the work of replacing

| Popularity of low-carb diets | 03 Nov 2005 02:12 GMT | 44 |
The postings in this groups are down to just a few per day anymore. Out of the entire civilized world I am a little surprised. The human body functions so much better when eating few carbohydrates and people feel so much better I am a little surprised at the hatred some folks seem ...

| Thanks to all | 02 Nov 2005 23:58 GMT | 8 |
For the advice on my daughter. Many useful ideas to consider. I notice on Blaine's low-carb show he feeds his three little ones exactly what he eats which does include a good amoumt of Splenda. The hard part is getting a child to stick to a lower carb plan when they are at other ...

| Study Needed | 02 Nov 2005 12:05 GMT | 4 |
How to disprove the "if you eat less calories than you burn off, you'll lose weight theory." I need to prove that you can eat alot more protein calories and still lose more weight than a low cal high carb diet. But I lost the link to the study for this.... thanks!

| GOAL! | 01 Nov 2005 20:04 GMT | 6 |
Weighed myself this morning and at 98.9 kg (217.6 lb) I broke through the 99 kg (217.8 lb) goalpost. This is also the fourth week in a row that I've been below 100 kg (220 lb) so that makes it "official" (by my definition).

| Ok, fine, whatever, I give up | 01 Nov 2005 05:34 GMT | 107 |
Well, I _thought_ I'd broken my stall, but I went for my last weigh-in at Curves today, and I was down a half pound. Which is back to what I was in January. I go from 156 to 156.5 and back to 156, with likewise minute fluctuations in measurements that are probably due to ...
