Turkey bacon.
On my (vegetarian) wife's urgings, I decided to try turkey bacon for
the first time. She said it would be "healthier" (presumably because
it's lower in saturated fat).... well, I'm eating some right now, and

Book Review (Positive)31 Jan 2006 16:44 GMT8
I just finished reading a low carb book that I found at the
library and would recommend.  It's called The Secret To Low
Carb Success.  It's a compilation of a lot of the best info
that one would have to dig for if they were trying to find

No alcohol and the funny smell returns!31 Jan 2006 10:51 GMT4
Some of you may remember a few postings of mine from 2+ months ago
mentioning a strange smell that I appear to exude when I'm in ketosis
(or at least I've ASSUMED that it is a result of ketosis).
At the moment I am consuming no alcohol whatsoever (after a period when
The Fat Flush Plan Diet WORKS31 Jan 2006 07:38 GMT6
No one is going to go on a diet to lose weight until they are really
ready to. It's something one has to be commited to doing. There are no
magic weight loss pills. Exercise alone wont do it. You have to be
commited to the plan and stick with it. Face it,  dieting is not easy.
Gut growls = ketosis31 Jan 2006 02:26 GMT17
Gut-growls during day  = ketosis = I am losing weight..
Didnt significantly growl today = no weight loss today,
(confirmed by careful weighing at same time in morning after toilet and
before breakfast.)
LC ice cream30 Jan 2006 05:49 GMT1
I love low carb ice cream.  I have a pretty good idea how much I can have
before I get gas.  Also, there is a higher dosage that can be like a
laxative.  I avoid that.
My dog was very interested in my bowl of vanilla ice cream, so I gave him a

UK low carb bread recipe29 Jan 2006 14:08 GMT5
Does anyone have a low carb bread recipe that I can use in my breadmaker?
I found some (I am sure) excellent ones on the Internet but when I went out
to buy the ingredients, I could not obtain them in either supermarkets or
health food shops.
First weekend back on track... Here's the plan!29 Jan 2006 01:35 GMT2
Heading into my first weekend "back" I'm thinking out food plans because
I'll have houseguests and tonight I'm hosting a get together with some other
girlfriends too, so there may be temptations in the form of sweets, carbs,
and alcohol.

Weeding through the weight loss crap!27 Jan 2006 02:47 GMT4
Hasseling about finding the right diet plan for you? I know I was! It
took me forever to find out what would work for me. I spent countless
hours of research, trying to find something that would work for me in
my life. I finally found a diet plan that is right for me. During the
