HELP -- what's "easy on the stomach"?31 Dec 2007 23:31 GMT9
I am going through what seems to be a food poisoning thing, but could be a
virus, I dunno. I am curious what low-carb foods are "easy on the stomach"
so that when I am able to eat again, I can start with something mild.
Thanks -- Mike

Spend an hour with Dr. Robert Atkins31 Dec 2007 17:28 GMT4
If you're a fan of Dr. Robert Atkins, and a low carb dieter on his

4-40-140: food safety29 Dec 2007 17:31 GMT4
I remember hearing, some time ago, the food safety guideline of 4-40-140. It
was a "picnic food" kind of thing. Foods should be kept out of the sun and
not be out for more than four hours unless they are kept at or below 40
degrees or at/above 140 degrees F.

low carb holiday breakfast?26 Dec 2007 18:49 GMT10
I'm looking for suggestions for a special low-carb Christmas
breakfast. I could do bacon and eggs, but it doesn't seem that
special, considering the time of year. There's going to be so many
carb laden temptations during the day, I'd really like to start things
And one more question... fatigue25 Dec 2007 09:42 GMT9
Thank you, everyone, for the water retention answers!
I have one more thing that I just can't seem to track down at the
moment...  everyone talks about how much more energy they have, and
for me, that's been true as well (I have to say that I feel better

What do you make of this?22 Dec 2007 23:32 GMT15
So, I've been doing lc, with a slight break for fat loss for idiots --
which worked out fine, I lost four pounds in eleven days -- and then

extremely convoluted calorie-restriction scheme, but it works fine and

Water retention?22 Dec 2007 12:42 GMT4
We've been doing (I think) really well on our first weeks of low-carb
(for those of you who heard the beginning of this story, my very
reluctant husband seems to have actually gotten on board with this,
yay!), and we feel great (though not losing much weight, sigh).
