Christmas treats (recipes)30 Nov 2003 23:54 GMT4
As requested by Lee, here are a couple of recipes/ideas for Christmas
treats. I can only give NZ/Aus points for them though, sorry.
Has anyone else got Christmas recipes they'd like to share?
First thing, I made meringues yesterday, raspberry choc chip with
Thanksgiving ideas30 Nov 2003 23:03 GMT48
Thanksgiving is just a couple of days away.  How are you planning to treat
the day?  Do you have special recipes that you are using, or are you
planning to eat less of normal fare.  (or spurge?)  Are you nervous about
it?  Relaxed?  Stressed?
clothing NSV30 Nov 2003 21:45 GMT17
I went to my local Tesco (grocery store) and they were having a '20% off all
clothing' promotion. I needed some more jeans (one pair that barely fitted
just wasn't enough) and decided to treat myself. I tried on a couple of
pairs and the size 18s (US size 16) were too big! I was ...

Too far behind!30 Nov 2003 16:08 GMT11
I got so far behind in posts, that I deleted them all (except the what's for
lunch ones - some good ideas there - thanks!)
So, hugs - congratulations - commiserations or whatever is needed to each
and everyone of you.
Too Much Calcium?30 Nov 2003 15:08 GMT16
Anyone else have this or know anything about it?  I had a blood test at the
doctor's and I have too much blood calcium (10.6).  I have been taking 600
mg which is only 60% of the RDA.   I don't drink milk at all, I don't eat
cheese or much dairy because it's not point friendly.  He ...
Week 5830 Nov 2003 15:08 GMT14
I lost .8 this week.  Not bad considering I have done very poor on drinking
water.  It is still a good solid loss and I am happy for it, Lee
New to Group30 Nov 2003 13:48 GMT16
Hi.  I just found this ng and wanted to introduce myself.  I have to
confess, I did not read all the previous posts (there were over 4,000).  I
have read many and enjoyed what I saw.  I have been a WW member since
January 7, 2002.  I've lost 60#s and 3 weeks ago decided to go for ...
Newbie success so far30 Nov 2003 13:39 GMT11
I finally decided that it was time to lose the extra weight.  In my
highscool days I was always around 180 pounds.  It's ironic because I can
still remember a time when I was desperately trying to put weight on.  I
wanted to get to 200 pounds as I was starting to weight train.
new to group30 Nov 2003 13:37 GMT11
Hi:  I started 3 weeks ago and lost 4.4 the first week and 2 this week.  I
have a lot to loose and hopefully this group will help keep me on track with
all the helpful advice I have been reading here.  I am hoping to make it
through the holidays without a gain.
Finally tipped those scales!30 Nov 2003 13:09 GMT19
Hi Fellow Losers,
Well I stepped on the scales this morning with trepidation and could hardly
belive my eyes - a two pound loss!  Had to get off and on again a few times
just to make sure!  After 7 weeks at the same weight it feels like a
Amberle3's update & NSVs30 Nov 2003 08:03 GMT13
Got so busy summarizing the challenges that I forgot to post my own

I managed to lose the 2 pounds that I gained last week plus 1 more,
bringing me down to 221 - I haven't been here since.. well I don't even
NYNY update - Joyce30 Nov 2003 02:59 GMT30
Here ya go, <drumroll please> .......................  officially broke into a new
decade at 129.5!!!  It's a small loss of .5 from last week, but I've been flirting
with this number for a few weeks now.  Sure was nice to see it hold firm this
week. <grin>  Probably won't last long, ...
NYNY update - Joyce30 Nov 2003 02:57 GMT99
I'm in the groove with the rest of the NYNY maintenance group ... down 1 pound
this week ... 130.  Once again the actual weighin Friday morning was lower, and
much as I would love to post anything in that 120 decade ... I'm averaging, and
average tells me 130.  I'm happy, happy, ...
