newbie here30 Dec 2003 17:54 GMT4
I have begun taking a new (to me) medication and need to keep my weight under
control. The medication causes a disturbed carb metabolism and could promote
diabetes..and I may be taking it for quite a while (it's for chronic connective
tissue disease)
Weight Watchers slowly but surely30 Dec 2003 02:20 GMT25
I've been doing Weight Watchers online for six weeks today.  I've lost
six pounds! some people say that I have done poorly  but I am really
full of energy which I think boils down to me eating lots of small
meals throughout the day and I really feel like my lifestyle is
Beef!29 Dec 2003 23:53 GMT8
Well. I met this wonderful guy. He is perfect in any way imaginable - well,
except for one thing. The only kind of meat he can eat is meat that does not
come from pork, poultry, game or fish. That leaves us with beef.
I am not the greatest cook on earth, so I won't make to kinds of ...
Cookbooks29 Dec 2003 23:28 GMT3
I've been away  from this ng and WW WOL and the weight is back to where it
was and then some.
I was eating the same old stuff and getting bored.  This time I'm going to
join WW meetings and I want to buy a cookbook with different ideas to keep
New NYNY challenge?29 Dec 2003 15:42 GMT3
I know that the challenge ends about now, but how about starting a new NYNY
challenge for those of us who didn't wake up until now?
I have no idea how to do that myself, but I would definitely sign up for a
challenge:o)

Christmas NSV!29 Dec 2003 12:22 GMT9
My very darling H gave me some clothes for Christmas - a warm snuggly fleece
top and 2 pairs of black fleece trousers, one in L and one in M. He said one
was to wear now, and the other was for when I got even skinnier. I tried on
the L, and it was huge! The M fits like a dream! So, ...
Back after a break29 Dec 2003 12:21 GMT18
Hope everyone's well.
I haven't posted here for a good month or two, but I've been reading most
posts.  Well done if you've lost and good luck if you've been stalling
recently - put it behind you and move on :o)
Amberle3's semi-update29 Dec 2003 06:35 GMT1
I hope everyone had a great Christmas!  Mine was very nice - DF is in
town (for another 6 days yet) and everything seemed to go smoothly.
Christmas dinner was at my cousin's house, as it always is as that's the
only place that will accommodate everyone (almost 20 people).  My aunt
NYNY & THTP for Brenda Dec 2229 Dec 2003 04:20 GMT11
I maintained this week at 173 lbs and for THTP you can put me down for 3
times please Amberle.  I'm happy about the maintain because as Christmas
nears I'm sure the next week won't show a loss or even a maintain for that
matter.  At least it's only one more week that all this ...
week 6229 Dec 2003 03:58 GMT14
I went to WI today as our center is closed tomorrow.  I lost .8 and that is
good.  I still have a bunch of flex points to get me through Christmas eve
at my mom's.  This has been a nice week and nothing really big has happened
so it was a success.  I hope you all have a great week. ...
a multiple part clothing NSV29 Dec 2003 02:28 GMT35
OK, so its time to get Christmas clothes for our annual managers party that
I help another manager put on for the southern Illinois managers.  I have
lost enough weight that I have no real dress clothes to wear and I really
have nothing in a Christmas motif.  DH says so what if you ...
NYNY Week 11 Laura (LJ)29 Dec 2003 01:50 GMT21
Down 1.5lb to an all-time low of 215.5!!!!!!! (Actually it was lower earlier
in the week so I know this program is working again). Yahoo!
In the NSV department--We were Christmas shopping at Kohl's the other night
and ended up in the misses department looking for a sweater for my ...
Question???  crockpot / slow cooker29 Dec 2003 01:48 GMT17
I've never used a crockpot / slow cooker before and I'm thinking of asking
Santa for one.  Is it considered to be low fat cooking since we're not
frying or adding oil?  Is a crockpot a good tool for staying on WW's
program?  What are some things I should look for when buying a crock ...
NYNY week 10 update - Joyce29 Dec 2003 01:41 GMT20
No daily weight measurements to average out for last week ... heck no weights
taken at all.  I'm going to go with a maintain, based on clothing still fitting
exactly the same. <G>
Although, the above statement did give me a bit of a scare this morning.  I
