this week's WI08 Oct 2004 16:10 GMT5
hiya,
Well, stomach bug lasted 5 days or so.  I still ate my points - figured it
was better to keep my body capable of fighting it - but I definitely ate
less quantity-wise, and a lot of soup featured.  Bit of a shake-up all

I once was fat, obese, 300 pounds+.Nothing helped, I got fatter and

Weekly Weight Loss Goals08 Oct 2004 06:54 GMT1
Thanks Laura and Lee for your input on my last question.
Do you (or does anyone) happen to know what the "weight watchers"
weekly weight loss goal is? If you stay between 20-22 points (or
whatever your alloted points are) per day?  Does that change
Red Lobster08 Oct 2004 06:38 GMT5
This is probably old news to many USAns here, but Red Lobster now has a
special menu they call "Lighthouse" that has healthy options and gives some
nutritional information.
Shopping yesterday took us longer than we'd planned and my DH and I decided
TurnAround - Flex Points08 Oct 2004 06:33 GMT14
I purchased the Complete Food Companion, Dining out Companion, and
Flex Plan points chart from eBay.
I cannot seem to find general "rules" though.
For instance, I am on my 7th day. I have only achieved 6 Activity
WI week 1: good news and bad news.08 Oct 2004 06:18 GMT9
First, the good news- I lost *exactly* 3lbs this week at my first WI. I am
happy with that. I sort of felt like it would be more since I lost 8lbs
during the first week on both of the other rounds but a loss is a loss. I
also at a fairly heavy lunch so that probably didn't help. I ...
Interesting Reading08 Oct 2004 03:21 GMT7
While I'm not "doing" Weight Watchers, health problems in March triggered me
to lose weight. At the time, I was 39 years old, and around 370 lbs (around,
because I refused to weigh). After a month of serious dieting, and pathetic
efforts at exercise, I finally weighed - 357 lbs. ...
Exercise...what do you think?07 Oct 2004 15:24 GMT14
One of my biggest problems with my 1st try on WW was that I did not exercise
enough. With that, I am determined to exercise enough this time! Yesterday I

and I was sweaty! Today I took a walk for an hour ...

Formal definition of obese?06 Oct 2004 20:23 GMT16
Hi, what is the accepted scientific standard for "obese" and
"overweight"? A friend was asking me, and a search has not turned up
anything except for marketing materials. Thank you!

NY TImes Article - With Fruits and Vegetables, More Can Be Less06 Oct 2004 14:55 GMT5
Another "stolen" post:
For those who have an interest in why Core works so well, this article
from today's New York Times is illuminating. I think it also points out
why tweaks may have significant consequences on success with the Core
WW at Work-Yea!06 Oct 2004 14:35 GMT4
I've put myself back into meetings. I can do WW at home, but when my company
started recruting for WW @Work, it was the best combo of time and desire. I
always get lunch breaks and I desire to do it even though my time is
valuable with work, school and a family.
