After a rough week and a half, I'm happy to report that I went down 3 lbs at today's WI. This brings my grand total to 69.8 lbs so far and certainly makes up for last week's 1.6 lbs gain!

Thank you to all for your warm welcome. It is amazing how weight and self-esteem go hand in hand. I know people come and go in Usenet groups, but some reason or another I felt like I needed permission. :-/ Anyway I will use Saturdays as my weigh-in day, just as if I was

| Been a while | 28 Apr 2006 20:32 GMT | 5 |
I realized .. uh, earlier today, I think it was.. that I haven't posted about myself in a while. Which, I suppose, stands to reason: we've been so busy trying to get a house arranged, and around those plans arrange a new car for me to drive to work, and arranging work in ...

| Nature's Way to Lose Weight | 28 Apr 2006 18:37 GMT | 1 |
Everybody wants to sell a weightloss plan. This one is free, so naturally you'll be suspicious of it. Don't be. You might learn something that will change your life. At best, diets help you get weight down, but then you have to follow them on

| Had a great WW meeting today | 28 Apr 2006 18:23 GMT | 4 |
The theme was common sense but really we all opened up because one woman, who had reached goal and was on maintenance, just broke down because her mother says she looks anorexic and now it's making her stress eat. Everyone was so supportive telling her she has to just get

| Trousers fall down! | 28 Apr 2006 11:58 GMT | 7 |
They have either grown (unlikely, I admit) or I've shrunk again! And after fiddling with me new skirt (cut out for a 40" hip, which is accurate, but it needed 4" hacking out the waist and an inch or so off the hips!), I have a nice new skirt to wear when these go to the charity

We had a great time! Saturday we went up to Oxford to collect a friend of DH's, and took this nice American to a good old fashioned English country pub for lunch. He decided Sausage, Egg and Chips was his order for the day! :D I chose a

| Rough week :( | 25 Apr 2006 16:25 GMT | 19 |
My closest friend lost the war against colon cancer last Saturday morning. We've know each other since 1981 and we considered each other as family. I've been with him through this entire ordeal and I'm really heart-broken for his wife and 3 children. He was only 54. Cancer is ...

| Why I Love Weight Watchers | 25 Apr 2006 15:34 GMT | 9 |
I can sit here eating a delicious piece of after dinner chocolate and read he should not be named's idiotic post. I'm a lifetime member maintaining my weight and enjoying life. Thank heavens WW doesn't tell me what I can and cannot eat.

| Weight Watchers Article | 25 Apr 2006 11:41 GMT | 6 |
Sometime last year I read an article about how a woman followed Weight Watchers with some kind of twist that sped up her weight loss. I believe it was in Women's World. It had something to do with counting your points but using one day to have more points which in turn revved ...

| WI | 25 Apr 2006 02:04 GMT | 5 |
Well, despite the positive attitude and doing well with water, points, and exercise I stayed the same. Looking back though a lot of my points were devoted to a piece of candy here and there. So i stayed within points but didn't get enough fruits and veggies in. Threw out most of ...
