Sugary foods 'birth defect risk'
Eating sugary or highly processed foods during pregnancy may increase
the risk of birth defects, research suggests.
Another thought on why I gained the weight back26 Nov 2003 20:40 GMT16
It was just about this time last year when I fell off the "wagon" and began
my slide back to regain the weight I'd lost.  I just realized that a big
factor in that was the colder weather.  The cold is making me extremely
hungry.  I'm still logging what I eat and even after I've ...

drive carefully if you travel this holiday weekend.
Is everyone leaving town? I'm staying put.

Sunday Night26 Nov 2003 17:17 GMT12
Well, I had a great Sunday night. I went to see Slayer, one of my favorite
bands from the 80s. Going to see Slayer is like Old Metalhead Home Night. I
see people I haven't seen in the scene since last year; people move, get
involved in other things, etc. But it's great to run into ...

Ten things I've noticed differently as the weight is dropping26 Nov 2003 04:55 GMT12
1. The water doesn't rise as high in the tub...
2. My clothes don't scream at the seams...
3. My walks are getting finished much faster...
4. It's getting easier to find things to wear...

Is it too much muscle work25 Nov 2003 21:18 GMT4
For a week now (including this week) I've been doing strenght training MWF
and Tae-Bo TT.
I've notice that taebo is a lot of muscle working as well (we're doing it
for cardio purposes).  Do any of you think that I'm not giving my muscles
Progress report25 Nov 2003 19:10 GMT11
Well, another Monday, another weigh day.
Two more pounds gone.....2 stone lost in 11 weeks :)
I gave most of my clothes to a local charity shop this weekend - they were
hanging off me. I've gone from a UK size 24 (is it *up* one size for the US

Lastnights experience25 Nov 2003 15:16 GMT20
Lastnight I ran into a crowd of folks who I have not socialized with in
a very long time. As such my weight loss became a topic of convo. I was
pretty open and upfront about my prior weight and how I got here to
where I am now. But I found myself being overly praised by one guy who
Weight Loss Aids, Pills, etc....25 Nov 2003 13:52 GMT33
Hi y'all.  Yep, I am still here, lurking, trying to find some information
that will help.  Here is my question....
Why does everybody have such a negative attitude toward weight loss aids?
It seems that every time it is mentioned you all react with great disdain.
What a revelation!25 Nov 2003 03:02 GMT5
As I posted elsewhere on this site today, last week was a less than stellar
week for me.  I did not log regularly and my eating, while always starting
out well, three times deteriorated around dinner.  Not with big meals, just
little nibbles.  I have had this darned cough for at ...
"I Lost It!" TV show25 Nov 2003 02:51 GMT1
Have any of you guys see this show on the Discovery Health Channel?
It's on every weekday and each episode tells the story of two people
who have lost substantial amounts of weight.  They've done it in all
sorts of ways -- from generally improved eating habits to gastric
My awful day:(25 Nov 2003 02:39 GMT53
I'm guilty of being really bad and I know that it is after a doc  visit.
I had some cruel news and I was certain I have no problems. So I
"handle" it all with over-eating and I decided to come here for the CRY!
I'm sad that after all this time I'm doing this bad now.I guess I'm not
