I'm new here20 Nov 2003 13:16 GMT4
Hi folks.  I just wanted to say hi.  I've been doing the Atkins for the
last few weeks,
and am doing pretty well.  I love reading this site ... lots of good
info, and you
It's starting....20 Nov 2003 01:38 GMT26
Does anyone else have a rough time during *the holidays*? I love the colder
weather, the dark nights and winter, but I really dislike Thanksgiving
through xmas. I'm not religious, I'm not close to my family, not married, no
boyfriend, etc. etc. All my inadequacies seem to be ...
Food & Exercise -- 11/19/200320 Nov 2003 01:27 GMT1
A long day today -- had to be in DC by 7:00 a.m. for a workshop I was
chairing, so left the house at 5:00.  And I got home around 7:00 p.m.
No exercise today.  A tad bit more food than usual, mostly because DH
made a big dinner -- lots of steak.  But I didn't eat much in the way
Cheese Flavored Powder20 Nov 2003 01:26 GMT20
Sorry to crosspost folks, and sorry to just barge in here asking this
question. I hope it's not something asked here all the time or
something I could have gotten an answer to by reading a FAQ or
something.
Yeah! Another one gone19 Nov 2003 21:09 GMT12
Since promising myself I'd really try the nutritionist's program as written,
I've lost 9 lbs!  In 2 weeks.  I know it will slow down, but in the meantime
I am floating on success.  After vacation in August I printed a picture of
myself in which I looked heavier than I liked, with ...
glycemic load19 Nov 2003 18:27 GMT3
I was wondering if there is a website like NutritionData that list the
glycemic loads of various foods.  My 83 yo grandmother was just
diagnosed with diabetes and I wanted to do some research for her.  I
think that some people on the ng have mentioned GL and GI and I thought
Cardio Q19 Nov 2003 15:05 GMT14
After much delay I'm finally trying to put together a workout routine that I
can actually stick to.  My thoughts are for strength training (via the total
gym) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and then some sort of cardio on
Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Cause for celebration!19 Nov 2003 12:00 GMT18
Ta-ra-ra-boom-de-ay!
I've lost more weight today
I've reached 158
and I am feeling great!
frustration19 Nov 2003 11:41 GMT12
I've switched from bulking (muscle growth) mode to cutting mode this week,
and it sucks.  When you get used to eating at an 1800 calorie level, then
drop back to 1300, there's not much margin for error - you pretty much have
to make every bite count towards daily nutritional needs.  ...
Request Information on "Herbal Magic"19 Nov 2003 04:01 GMT6
My girlfriend has been convinced by a "herbal specialist" that all she needs
to do is spend a few thousand dollars on the Herbal Magic weight loss
program and she can be slim again.
I have been desperately looking for information on this "product" in an
Monday morning weigh in18 Nov 2003 22:58 GMT12
Woo hoo....

Feeling much better today.
And - under 250!! Hooray! With another 2lbs I will have lost 2 stones (28lbs),
Calories or Content?18 Nov 2003 18:47 GMT6
If you stay at a certain level (ex: 1000-1200 a day), does it not matter where
the calories come from (fat, carbs).
(Herbal) Appetite Suppressant: which one and where?18 Nov 2003 15:46 GMT4
I'm a 30 year old guy in the UK and am looking to lose a bit weight before
Christmas, that's all. I've heard that there are (herbal?) appetite
suppressants available which also act as mood elevators. Trouble is, I'm
totally new to all this so I don't even know where to start looking ...
Whoosh 18 Nov 2003 13:44 GMT22
Weighed this morning instead of tomorrow because I am going out of town
and won't be at home to weigh.
Scale says.. 205!
Sub 200 is coming closer into view before the holidays like I had hoped.
