The WIND14 Nov 2003 13:36 GMT13
Whoo. Am I glad I ran yesterday and hit the gym early today--the wind's
blowing about 60 MPH out there. Hope hubby scrapped the idea of hunting
out of his tree stand...

Over the weekend I went shopping with a friend - for ....  Wedding
gowns.   I've decided to have one made for me.   Tonight I'm meeting

dresses I'd picked out, and then she's going to make me a dress that
clueless - asks a few diet questions13 Nov 2003 18:15 GMT12
I admit to being clueless about dietary matters but have been reading a little
about Atkins. Can someone please enlighten me on the follow points which I
cannot understand.
From what I can make of it Atkins says that carbo is for the bodies short-term
Mistake?13 Nov 2003 13:53 GMT5
I seem to have been holding some waterweight. . .
I had a constant weight of 188lb for the two weeks I was off my diet.  This
morning I went to the scales and it read . . . 184lb!!!  I have been
drinking enough and weighed myself at the same time of day.  Should I expect
Nutrition cont.13 Nov 2003 12:30 GMT3
I've actually found sticking to my nutritionist's eating plan easier as time
goes on.  I am still having trouble timing the eating and tend to go too
long without eating, but at least I do get a small meal in six times a day.
I've not lost anything this week, but I have been holding ...
The Bosu Ball is finally out of the box!13 Nov 2003 07:59 GMT2
I finally dragged the box in from the garage and opened it tonight.  I can
see this is going to be fun once I get the hang of it.  I only skimmed
through the book and tried a couple of each illustrated exercises.  It's a
lot tougher than it looks and I think it's going to provide ...

Finally :-)13 Nov 2003 03:05 GMT14
Well, I was beginning to think the gym scale just saw me coming and
set itself to 176 lbs. before I ever got on -- every day exactly the
same thing.  But today I weighed 175 :-).
Something interesting I realized -- I've now lost 1/3 of my original
"Tough Love" week three13 Nov 2003 02:03 GMT2
I've been doing my "tough love" workout routine for three weeks now.
"Tough love" for me means 3 very hard workouts a week where I get my
pulse to near its maximum for 30 plus minutes - like running uphill.
Haven't lost any weight, however I am getting fitter.  I'm now able to
Menopause Equals Extra Munching13 Nov 2003 01:53 GMT1
I just read this article:
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=571&ncid=751&e=1&u=/nm/20031
112/hl_nm/health_menopause_dc
and it has some very interesting points to ponder.
how far we've come, how far to go?13 Nov 2003 01:07 GMT37
It's been a year since I joined a gym and started trying to improve my
health in earnest.  A year ago, I weighed about 147, and wore size 10-12
pants.  I now weigh 128 (up from my summer low of 119), and wear size 4-6
pants.  My bf % a year ago was about 28%, and today it's 24%.  I ...
