Intermediate Goal I achieved10 Mar 2004 03:51 GMT15
I don't remember if I ever mentioned that I had set an "intermediate" goal
of losing 30 pounds in 6 months but it's now been achieved  and three days
earlier than my "goal-line" of March 8th.  I started officially on the
re-loss journey on September 8th. Now to set Intermediate Goal ...

Going Good!10 Mar 2004 02:33 GMT5
I'm in a great mood this morning -- with the exception of a brief
foray into the world of Hershey on Sunday night, I've really been
sticking to my diet/exercise in March and am down to 243. I'm sure
this sounds like a lot to some of you, but for me, this is the least

I'm curious to know if taking herbal supplements really does help you
live a longer life and help to avoid health problems as you age?

Adding cocoa powder to hot oat bran cereal?09 Mar 2004 19:46 GMT8
Has anyone tried that? I learned yesterday that I could make oat bran
cereal with water and spice containing dried vegetables and MSG. It
tastes great. Now I had this idea to cook hot oat bran cereal with FF
milk and cocoa powder. I am curious if anyone did that.
Veronika Atkins09 Mar 2004 17:55 GMT11
She made a good case on Larry King laast night. I liked the Atkins Food
Pyramid, but America's Agricultural Grain Lobby will not.

Basic question about 5K races09 Mar 2004 13:17 GMT18
I would like to participate in a upcoming April 25 5K run/walk in our
community park (Western suburbs of Chicago). I never participated in a
race before and have some basic question.
The ad says that the race begins at 8am.
opinions on excersise bike??09 Mar 2004 04:24 GMT28
iv got an excersise bike which shows caliories burnt, its fairly accurate

Maybe a different approach...09 Mar 2004 02:43 GMT28
I decided to give up sugar for lent in hopes of jump starting healthier

I chose sugar specifically because of the problems I have with elevated
Confusion over fish & chips09 Mar 2004 02:31 GMT13
I read in the Times(UK) today about people having less healthy
lifestyle in more deprived areas. It also states there're more fish &
chips shops in those areas.
I thought fish is a healthy food, so eating more fish surely helps??
Sugar-free OK?09 Mar 2004 02:05 GMT72
I'm getting my 'old' cravings for the SF ice cream and it's sitting
there in my fridge so I decided I needed it last night plus today. I ate
about 1 cup both times and stopped. I think maybe I'll not get this
again as I ate it several times at night . Is it a good food? WHY is it

Seem to remember my mother had taken Chromium Picolinate and she said it helped her lose weight.
Anyone have any insight or experience with this?
Also, what supplements are you taking on the road to losing weight?
