frustrations - lacking motivation04 Mar 2004 04:23 GMT40
Not sure where to start.   I'm going on my 3rd week back after
vacation.
While on vacation I exercised daily and tried to make wise choices.

A real surprise today04 Mar 2004 02:36 GMT5
Today I went for my first time to the gym in quite a few years.  I walked
four miles in their indoor track, used their junkie stairclimber, which a
maintenance worker told me that was about to be thrown out and two new ones
would replace it, plus I used an elliptical machine for ...
Walking...how much03 Mar 2004 23:23 GMT9
Well, I am new here and would like you all to give me some input.
First off, I am a 17 year old male and I weigh around 245. I am 5'9.5
tall. I am really tired of being fat, and I am ready to do something
about it. I seldom eat breakfast, always eat lunch at school, eat
This may produce a laugh: onions03 Mar 2004 23:11 GMT4
I'm a newbie cooker - yesterday evening I cooked my first onion and
added it to my veggie stew (1/2 lbs mixed veggies + 1 cup tomatoe
sauce).  I used a whole onion - size of my fist - "sauteed" it for a
few minutes - mixed it in.  Didn't taste too bad.  Sure smelled up the

Checking in - 7 week point03 Mar 2004 14:05 GMT7
Its been seven weeks since I began my diet, and I'm happy to say I've lost
22.1 pounds so far!
Thank you all here on ASD for your encouragement - I don't think I could
have done it without you!  I like to think of you all as holding me
Plateau03 Mar 2004 13:30 GMT3
I have been stuck at 165 for 3 weeks now. I exercise every other day and
have cut back on calories. Any suggestions for restarting weight loss. Want to
get to 140.
Looking for Atkins Info...03 Mar 2004 10:07 GMT13
    First the stats:
57 yr old w/male 5 feet 6 inches tall and  about 225 lbs.  I'm not
allergic to food or drugs, but am a moderate to severe asthmatic.
Currently the asthma is controlled (more or less) with a timed-release
Monthly measurement results03 Mar 2004 02:56 GMT4
The results of the measurements are very encouraging especially since the
scale numbers sometimes aren't.  I'm not going to tell my measurements but
since the end of January, I have lost a half inch from each of my upper
arms, 2 inches off my chest/boobage, 1.5 inch off my waist, 1 ...

PaleoDiet02 Mar 2004 23:55 GMT4
Could you please tell me how about mixing carbs with proteins and fats
on PaleoDiet. Should I wait 3-4 h between fruits and meat, or I can eat
them together?

Mad at myself!...Can't stay motivated!02 Mar 2004 23:19 GMT5
I have been reading this newsgroup for the past 2 weeks and I really admire so
many people here.  I am new to being overweight...because I have crohn's
disease (which has been in remission).  When it is flaring, I have diarrhea 10
to 20 times a day and can't keep weight on!  I have ...
Ready to use Crepes02 Mar 2004 17:54 GMT1
I found these at WalMart last week:
http://www.melissas.com/catalog/index.cfm?info=yes&product_ID=74.  They are
37 calories each and have 6 grams of carbs and very little fat so they are
good for low cal, low carb or low fat diets.  I had one this morning with a

off topic.

Goodbye Bunky02 Mar 2004 14:05 GMT5
My dog will be ten in a few days. Except for a few illnesses at the vet
she has only been away from me overnight twice and once was last night
as I had dental surgery a few days ago and have been in some
discomfort. Although I needed the solitude, there was big vacuum. I
