Broke through a barrier27 Mar 2004 13:49 GMT4
Finally! For the past two weeks I've held steady at 230 lbs (15 lb
weight loss). I managed to hold on to my resolve even through a trip out
of town where we were driving for 8 hours one way.  Generally I take
lots of snacks to get us through a trip like this. This time I made a
End of BFL challenge results27 Mar 2004 08:48 GMT16
I woke up feeling a bit puffy this morning and whipped out the tape
measure to discover that my thighs were 1/4" bigger.  Sigh.  Today was
my big weigh-in and caliper test at the gym and the scale said I was up
Driver's License photo27 Mar 2004 04:07 GMT24
Do you think the DMV would let me get a new license if I asked?  My
picture looks so little like me that I am getting questions whenever I
use it as an ID.  And it doesn't expire until 2008!
I suppose I could just pretend I lost it...

Dasani27 Mar 2004 03:02 GMT11
I posted here a few weeks ago about the fuss surrounding Coca  Cola's
launch of its Dasani water here in the UK - mainly because the press
portrayed it as bottled London tap water.
Well, I never got the chance to decide for myself whether I would like
My story ...(MaryAnn C)27 Mar 2004 02:59 GMT12
I was asked to tell my story so here goes.  I am almost 58 years old and
haven't had a weight issue for most of my life due to having crohns disease.  I
have been in remission for the past 3 years and the excess 30lbs has slowly
crept up.  I am only 5'1" so I can "feel" every pound ...
The Whole Fam Damily26 Mar 2004 19:40 GMT3
Remember me?
I put my granddaughters, daughter and even ex hubby and partner on a
diet and encouraged them to use Fitday.
Our nine year old did the best with consistent attention to exercise
My "stick-to-ative-ness"26 Mar 2004 16:50 GMT21
As soon as I made a comment about my ability to stick to yoga, I've started to
miss lessons. I didn't go last week, did not go this week (the old Wednesday
and St. Paddy's Day conflict)...I still figure that next week looks good,

My opinion: this woman started off looking better than she is ended
up.

Bread26 Mar 2004 15:21 GMT13
What's your thoughts on eating bread? I eat lots of bread as I have
sandwiches every day for dinner. You see all these things in the press about
'Atkins' saying Carbs are bad, and then other people say avoid bread as its
full of some type of carb or whatever. In terms of calories, ...

This is a note for Beverly's granddaughter from mine who turns thirteen
shortly. We haven't bugged her about dieting up until now as we were
always told to leave kids alone and try to serve them healthy meals at
home and discourage snacking on junk but it never worked. My daughter
A decision re goal weight26 Mar 2004 13:15 GMT25
I've decided that it doesn't make sense for me to base my weight goal
on staying in a particularly competitive weight class.  So, though
Ahmed will not like it, I've decided I would like to lose a little
more weight after the Nationals (April 2).  I'm not what anyone would
optifast26 Mar 2004 12:48 GMT16
Any body tried optifast? is it a good program? does it work?. It looks very
hard to do but I have a lot of weight to loose and really need to do
something while I can still stand up and walk
Review: Healthy Choice Clam Chowder26 Mar 2004 06:03 GMT5
Healthy Choice Clam Chowder:
I cooked this on the stove top. When it was finished, I served it with a
slight sprinkle of black pepper. It was tolerable, but bland. I finished it,
but I almost wish I would of thrown it out for something else. I felt it was
