Discovered a new food 06 May 2004 09:01 GMT5
I discovered a new food I like -- eggplant!  I've never had it before. It's
not bad!  I guess if nothing else, I'm learning to appreciate new foods.
Oh, btw, I lost another pound!

Going in to hospital06 May 2004 02:34 GMT7
Just to say I am off into hospital tomorrow for my thyroid operation,
My eating has been way off plan, much to much stress eating, and poor
me I deserve it. I am up on the weight, I feel it. I am going for my
WI tonight but won't stay for the meeting, I am too stressed. Work is

When does weight loss taper?05 May 2004 17:59 GMT20
Well the subject says most of it but here's the details.
I have been eating healthy and well balanced for 5 weeks now.  I've lost a
total (as of this morning) 21lbs without exercise (aside from the daily
errands and things).  At first I wasn't concerned about the weight loss.  I

Just a pound and a half to go for me but my measurements haven't
changed which is kind of curious.

My birthday goal05 May 2004 17:45 GMT10
Well folks, yesterday was my birthday.  My goal was 230, but I
weighed in at 233.  It's okay, but I'm a little disappointed.  I
worked so hard last week that I tweaked out my back and "Plantar
Fasciitis" trying to reach the goal, so I'll just have to turn
shopping tomorrow05 May 2004 14:40 GMT4
Good news group.
I got my food budget ready and I have a good amount of money to shop with.
I'm getting lots of fruit and veggies.
No skipping meals any longer.
being fruitarian for a few months?05 May 2004 14:10 GMT24
We are planting a number of vegetables in our garden. Mostly low
calorie ones. no issue here. I pig out on them all the time and having
homegrown ones will simply save me time.
We are also planting a few fruit trees, such as apricots, apples, and
If it works, don't fight it!05 May 2004 14:07 GMT2
My weight loss journey has been full of ups and downs...literally.  I seem
to go full steam, then slack off for weeks at a time, but, ultimately I have
been on a downward slope.  I guess that's all that counts.
I've reverted to my original diet and have lost 6 more lbs.  Remarkably, ...
Goals for August05 May 2004 08:01 GMT5
I've got a few things coming up in August that it would be nice to be at
goal weight for.  For one thing, I'm seeing my doctor and we're going to
have a conversation about tummy tucks.  It'd be nice to be done losing
weight so we can start the clock on maintenance.
Week #605 May 2004 02:35 GMT1
My fiance' and I are starting Week #6 of SBD.  This is our first week of
Phase 2.  We did not find Phase 1 difficult and we are both down 18 pounds
with no exercise!!
I have dieted many times and this is the easiest the weight has come off.
Going into Hospital 2morrow04 May 2004 23:20 GMT8
I am going into the hospital 2morrow to get this kidney stone removed.
It will be one week of pain 2morrow.  I have missed work and been basically
a blob on the couch.
I can not wait to be done with this and get back on track to my weight loss
Treading water04 May 2004 22:54 GMT4
So, today is weigh-in day, and I'm the same chuffing weight. Not
really a surprise, though. The amount of exercise I did this month is
way under my goal, and the amount of eating over goal. I feel like
I've stuck myself in the worst of both worlds: I refuse to go back to
My spring update...04 May 2004 18:33 GMT8
OK, I botched over the winter... it was cold, I didn't get out enough
and well, didn't exercise much either. And, I ate too much when I did
go out. Got in a habit of grabbing more fast food (primarily Subway
though) than normal.
