I'm no Paul but I'm losing and getting back to my best weight with only 2 pounds to go and five weeks to get there. Jay Jay's advice seemed to turn the tide and ease the ride. The California Raisins are in tears as they haven't seen me in weeks at

| Yay, I'm a Loser! | 04 May 2004 12:55 GMT | 9 |
In January, when I first started seeing my doctor about weight loss, he recommended that I begin with a goal of losing 10% of my body weight, which would be 25-26 pounds. Last month, someone (I'm sorry, I can't remember who) posted this link to figuring one's body fat percentage:

| One Hundred Fifteen Pounds Gone | 04 May 2004 07:46 GMT | 12 |
Hello ASD friends, Just wanted to post that I've lost 115 pounds now. I have only 10 pounds left to lose to reach my goal. I really can't believe I've lost so much weight and it really hasn't been that tough to me. Early on I had a little

| New to list | 04 May 2004 03:08 GMT | 8 |
My name is Leonie and I have been looking for a support group for a while. This list seems fairly active, so I'm glad to be here. Here's a bit of my story. I am "morbidly obese" by far, with more than 200 pounds to lose. I have never really dieted seriously before. Which might

Dear group, Went to gas station today. I felt like getting some chocolate or some chips. It was hard to tell myself no. I decided to get some orange juice instead. Came home and had a big glass and felt good that I kept at my goal.

| Dr. Phil's 14-Day Rapid Start Plan | 03 May 2004 21:15 GMT | 10 |
I just posted my introduction a few seconds ago but to recap, I'm Tara and I'm new here! I started Dr. Phil's UWLC yesterday. My question has to do with his 14-day Rapid Start Plan. I'm following it almost exactly according to his Solution Food Guide pages and according to

I have a question for the group. Why, according to all the calculators, does the same activity for the same amount of time burn more calories for someone who is heavier? My husband weighs around 45 pound more than I do, and for each activity I look up, it always says that the ...

| Where in the blue blazes... | 03 May 2004 13:48 GMT | 15 |
I got lost in the woods today. It's finally nice enough to run outside - mud season is over. I had about 50 minutes before my first client of the morning and I decided to go on a measured two mile run and be back in time to shower and be ready

| Flax Seed and Bevery and Perple Gyrl | 03 May 2004 12:34 GMT | 20 |
Was just looking at some older posts (haven't kept up too well since my surgery...am not up and down the steps as much and the computer is in my bedroom). Anyway...Bevery and Perple Gyrl mentioned flax seeds in oatmeal. Saw an ad, which of course now I cannot recover, for a flax ...

| New Diet | 03 May 2004 07:32 GMT | 6 |
Make a list of the foods that are good for you and the foods to avoid, and then eat as much as you want. Life's too short and food is too good to starve yourself. I control my weight through exercise, not regulating the amount of healthy foods I eat.

| BP is 95/65 today - was 135/90 two weeks ago | 02 May 2004 22:12 GMT | 4 |
I found out I'm very salt-sensitive. I now eat less than one gram of sodium daily. Lowering salt also has the beneifit of reducing your (water) weight - because sodium in the salt makes you retain water. Note - when my pressure was 130/95 I was eating only about 3 grams of
