Keeping the Weight Off13 Jun 2004 22:40 GMT2
Once you have achieved a desired weight, a positive attitude is very
important in your efforts to successfully manage it. To lose weight
permanently, you must make a commitment to gradually adopt a healthier way
of life.
Four days later...13 Jun 2004 19:24 GMT9
Its been four days since my doctors visit where I found out I am a diabetic.
One day of just being numb, followed by one day of not wanting to think
about it, then one day gathering information, followed by one day of sifting
through everything.  Now, the fifth day, I'm realizing ...
My Update12 Jun 2004 23:14 GMT11
I broke down and bought a cheap digital bathroom scale at Wal-Mart.  It's a
piece of crap.  I wasted $17 on it.  It has shown me weighing all the way
from 178 to 238.  So I still have to depend on the scale at the gym for my
number fix.  I weighed 181-1/4 lb Thursday afternoon.
Normal vs. Average12 Jun 2004 21:13 GMT29
Something I found interesting:
Though I don't put a lot of store in BMI (for reasons that have been
discussed here a lot), I went to this site that someone referenced --

Cross-posted.
I had to take Sammy to the doctor last night for what turned out to be
nothing.  Anyway, while there we weighed him.  He came in at 32.25
pounds at 60 months old.  Sammy continues to be very underweight.
At it again 12 Jun 2004 15:59 GMT4
Well, my medical treatment has stopped for a while.  It will start again in 3
months.  So I'm finally off all of the weight gaining medication.  I gained 35
pounds total.  Part is water retention, but not much, part is I was too sick to
get much exercise and part of it was over ...
1 week update12 Jun 2004 15:09 GMT2
Today makes one week since we joined the gym.  My husband and I have
really enjoyed it so far!  We plan to work out 5 days per week (cardio 5 x
per week, and weight training 3 x per week).  It has gone very well so far.
I have some soreness, but the hot tub following the ...
100 lbs11 Jun 2004 19:41 GMT11
I finally reached triple digits.  I've lost 100 lbs since starting to lose
weight.  Now, it's taken me a lot longer than most people here...about 4.5
years.  I've gone up and down several times, I've remained the same for
months on end, I've given up, I've deliberately stopped ...

made it threw first night at work with ....... for ladies only......11 Jun 2004 13:07 GMT1
Well I made it threw my first night at work with my TOM since I started
over with my new diet.  I think that it is safe to say that I have made some
good choices that I will be able to follow for the rest of my life. I know
that I am giving up alot but it is so worth it. I feel so ...
