Day one of my diet went pretty well. I did find myself hungry at night so I had a snack that is on my plan. I need to do a little better planning snacks, it seems I get hungry around 3 in the afternoon and then again at 10 p.m. or so.

| Eating at night while trying to lose weight | 11 Jun 2004 05:02 GMT | 15 |
I heard on NPR a few months ago about a study that showed that people who ate most of their calories at night were no less likely to lose weight (which of course goes against the advice of hundreds of sites & programs). I'm trying to find that study -- can anybody help?

| Update on oatmeal "meal" | 11 Jun 2004 03:14 GMT | 13 |
Here's a healthy meal for about 50 cents - and honestly, it's tasty enough. 1) 1/2 Quaker oatmeal - plus 1 1/2 cups water - microwave at 50% for six minutes 2) add two tablespoons of peanut butter (natural is best) 3) sprinkle cinnamon on top 4) add artifical sweetener to

The talk about minimum number of calories burned via exercise got me thinking, how accurate is fitday's exercise calculation? Is there a site I should be using? I feel like I am actually burning more calories weekly than fitday calculates for me. If there is a manual

Actually, I could technically go to about 125 and be happy with it. I'm now at 130 lbs -- down from 144 on Thanksgiving 2003! I originally started on FitDay just to track my calorie intake 'til I could get a sense of how much food I've been REALLY eating! Since then,

We joined the gym I spoke of before. We have really loved it so far! I am planning on going 5 days per week. The kids love the kids center there, so it works out to go during the day while my husband is at work. Then, he goes after dinner. I have been starting out with the ...
