WW vs ASD08 Jun 2004 16:01 GMT24
Down visiting with my sister this week. Over Christmas I was impressed
with the weight loss she had, going from ~12lbs "overweight" (for the

Why are drugs wrong?08 Jun 2004 14:42 GMT8

an ache or pain - take an Aleve.  If you have the sniffles there are more
than 100 different types of cold medicines available from which to choose.
Diarrhea? Constipation?  Oh there are pills for that as ...

simple things I can throw together myself. That is part of what is helping
me stick with low-calorie (1500/day), lower-carb (currently averaging about
60 gm/day) eating. And I am doing well and losing weight ...

Food & Exercise -- Friday through Sunday08 Jun 2004 00:52 GMT6
Well, I've been off at the my niece's wedding weekend -- a most
extravagant affair in all regards, including food.  I ate too much all
three days.  I pretty much decided I was going to have what I wanted
to at these events, but I still feel that I could have exercised more

The update...07 Jun 2004 14:19 GMT1
Well, I haven't checked in for about a week now so here I am with my update.
This past week has been a pretty good week for my wife and I as we've both
continued to work towards our goals. I really appreciate all of the interest
in her story and I know that she does to. I'm very ...

One of life's mysteries is how a 2 pound box of candy can make a woman gain
5 lbs.
Skinny people irritate me! Especially when they say things like, "You know,
sometimes I just forget to eat." Now I've forgotten my address, my mother's
Doing better07 Jun 2004 02:52 GMT27
It's been really great to start reading and posting again -- thanks again to my
special friend who let me know that ASD was wondering about me. Accountability is
very important and so is responding to others who are struggling -- and there's
really no better place for that than here ...
Hips, Thighs and Stairs07 Jun 2004 00:15 GMT31
Perhaps you all can give me some advice here... I carry a lot of my weight
around my hips and thighs.  I live in one of the many cities along the
Niagara Escarpment (700 km cliff  that runs from Niagara Falls to Tobermory
in Ontario) where there are not only plenty of trails, but ...

I just did a set of pushups -- managed 18 -- my new PR :-).  (This is
from-the-toes pushups.  I think 18 is not bad for a 56-year-old woman
:-).)
