Trans Fats28 Jun 2004 19:12 GMT17
I introduced my parents to concerns about trans fats with an email link to a
Harvard analysis.  So, at dinner Sunday my dad showed me his new margarine
and pointed out that it had no trans fats.  When I looked at the label I
immediately saw HYDROGENATED Soybean Oil.  However, under ...
Pedometer challenge - 60 miles and still going 28 Jun 2004 16:03 GMT4
No I haven't walked 60 miles this weekend :)  Since I don't do a lot of

Friday I ran most errands on the bike for a total of 15 miles - all roads.
Saturday morning I did the "Bike for the Health of It" ride with the

Tomorrow -- after my early morning workout -- I'm headed down to NC to
be with my mom while she has hip replacement surgery.  I won't be
online there, so will be back in touch when I return (probably
Friday).  You all have a good week!
Fitday and my transition to maintainance calories...28 Jun 2004 05:59 GMT6
Is it just me, or does Fitday's daily calorie expenditure calculation seem a
bit off? I'm 25 years old and I weigh 161 pounds, and my BMR is listed at
1835. I can believe that, but when I add that I do 9 hours of standing/light
work as a cashier, it tells me that I'm burning an ...

I'm gonna give this a shot ...27 Jun 2004 19:50 GMT5
Hi everyone. I've had weight issues for some time now, but I think I tend to
get discouraged and give in too easily. Today I decided I really wanted to
give this a shot. I thought it might help if I found a group of people who
were in the same position as me. So I suppose that's why ...

bad news26 Jun 2004 23:03 GMT37
Dallas, my 11 year old son went to the dr yesterday for a checkup and a
refill on his allergy meds. Dal weighs 170 lbs and is 5'1. He's always
been a "big" kid for his age and I suspect always will be, his father is
6'3 and a hefty guy. the Dr who is semi-new to us has pre diagnosed

Mexican dinner the night before...this morning I weighed in at 113.5. Water
weight or not, I don't want to see the number 115 on my scale...and even 113.5
Bit of an update26 Jun 2004 04:09 GMT3
Patience is key. :)

started measuring myself (March).  Hips are down an entire inch and a bit.
