Alcohol conundrum04 Jul 2004 14:24 GMT10
I haven't posted for a while now but my weight loss plan is going well since
22nd February 2004 I have gone from 290 pounds to 206 pounds.  Thats a loss
of 84 pounds in 19 weeks.
One thing I have noticed is that having a quite considerable amount to drink

Weigh-in yesterday04 Jul 2004 06:16 GMT13
I went in for my first full physical in years yesterday. When I decided to lose
a little weight a little over a week ago, I was at 115 pounds first thing in
the morning in my birthday suit. Last night at the doctor's, at the end of the
Camping & Dieting04 Jul 2004 02:53 GMT59
I'm off to go camping this week in a big family reunion deep in the
woods at a primitive campsite.  I've just realized with a startling jerk
that my mainstay foods aren't going to be available to me.  No microwave
for my oatmeal/whey protein blend.  No toaster for my bagel with ...
uh.. new thing :)04 Jul 2004 02:48 GMT26
Guess what I did today that a year ago I never *dreamed* I would be
doing?
I went to the lake with my family..I had my swimsuit on, IN PUBLIC lol!
AND..
Swimsuit shopping04 Jul 2004 02:07 GMT11
Last time I went out swimsuit shopping was about 2 years ago...I'd lost a lot
of weight and my old swimsuit hung on me; I was desperate to have something I
could take on vacation with me. I hadn't finished losing my weight, but I was
Summer time... ICED TEA time!03 Jul 2004 22:48 GMT7
Well, drinking more on hot summer days is a good idea! I love my hot
tea, but hey, on a hot day, more warmth isn't what I want, especially
with our air conditioner being broke.
So, yesterday, I fixed one of my regular hot teas, Uncle Lee's Organic

Oh, so close to no longer being overweight!  I thought I'd make it this week
(Week 24) but it looks like I will have to wait.

Slimfast & Body Reaction03 Jul 2004 02:09 GMT4
Hi All.  First time visitor, first time poster.  I've been on Slimfast
5 and a half days and have lost 4-5 pounds already.  Woo-hoo!  :)
I'm pretty excited about it.  One thing concerns me though.  I started
Sunday afternoon.  On about day 3 I started to feel very weak.
Curves02 Jul 2004 21:34 GMT10
There's a Curves opening in July near me!
I don't know how they'll do.  For example, they are one small parking lot
away from the city fitness center where I can get probably a cheaper
membership -- if it costs me anything.  For another, this town was built
The After Life02 Jul 2004 21:06 GMT9
I just read what is probably at least the hundreth success story of
group or individual weight loss, this one sponsored by our local
newspaper. A happy ending? Who knows.
When one thinks of the effort that goes into a prolonged weight loss
Pedometer reading for Thursday (Day 8)02 Jul 2004 16:18 GMT3
Well I forgot to put my pedometer on before going to the gym, but I know
that I get at *least* 2000 - 3000 steps at a workout, so I added 2000 to my
end-of-day reading to better reflect my actual steps for yesterday. This has
been so great for me to get in the habit of doing more ...
Made it!!!02 Jul 2004 16:14 GMT28
Wow - just had to share.  Stepped on the scale this morning at 199.7, I'm no
longer overweight!!!   Yay!!!  Can't rest, though, now I'm transitioning
into my Phase 2 to get down to the midpoint of my healthy range.  So its new
resolve, new effort, 24.7 pounds to my new goal.
Dropping out of the challenge02 Jul 2004 15:34 GMT6
It was great while it lasted! It's gotten me back on course walking the stairs
at work *every time* and pushed me to take walks when I can. But my work
schedule and life schedule vary so much from day to day that what I can do in a
Posting for motivation - Pic / Fitday link included - Feel free to post a similar experience02 Jul 2004 05:35 GMT2
I've posted before, but I think I may start posting on a more frequent
basis.  I'm 27, 5'9, about 200 pounds and according to Tanita body fat
% of 28 in normal mode, about 24% in athletic.  I recently purchased a
cell phone with camera, so I can post pictures, took this one myself.
