OK, now I'm comitted (or maybe should be)23 Jul 2004 13:56 GMT10
Finally made a serious step towards getting some useful exercise. I bought a
1 year membership to Bally's on eBay. Sure, I'm going to be stuck going to
only one location, but considering that there's a brand new one half a mile
from my work, I don't think that'll be a problem.

Hiya Ignoramus. I do not post that much anymore since I went into

have just seen your new pics and I am soooooooo happy for your. I
still lurk every now and then. When ever I feel weak I will look for

"A joint Canada/US panel of scientific experts recently concluded that there
is no real rule of thumb on how many glasses of water we need to drink

Drinking Water22 Jul 2004 04:38 GMT9
There is an intersting article in August's prevention magazine.
Researchers in Germany measured the resting metabolism of 14 men and women
before and after they drank just over 16 ounces of water. Within 10 minutes,
metabolism began to rise. After 40 minutes, the volunteers'average
24.97!22 Jul 2004 04:38 GMT3
I know BMI isn't that accurate a measurement for everyone, but since I
first came to accept that I was indeed borderline obese by seeing my
BMI listed in the paper at over 30, which put me into the 'obese'
category for the story's accompanying chart, I figured it would be

Here I am, same stupid 20 pounds again22 Jul 2004 01:47 GMT11
Ugh. I am so stupid.  Every few years I do the same thing...gain back the
same 15-20 pounds that I've lost before. In the past, I've kept it off as
long as 4-6 years, then it came creeping back. This past 18 months, it's
come slamming back.
This weeks workout21 Jul 2004 19:22 GMT15
I went to the gym for an hour a day over the last six days and according to
the eliptical machine equipment I burned approximately 6700 calories over
the week.  I'm going to try to get back on track with excellent eating
habits.  I've been eating well lately but seem to splurge a ...
Hi Everyone21 Jul 2004 05:37 GMT8
Sorry I haven't been around for a while.  I've been working now for about 3
months and the time has gone fast.  I never got to my goal of 175, at least
not yet.  I did get down to 179, but due to my work schedule, I've cut back
on the amount of hours to exercise.  I've also have ...
Week 27, and a lot of changes21 Jul 2004 04:25 GMT7
Wow, what a week.  First, I've lost 6.4 pounds in the last seven days!  I
might bounce back up a bit tomorrow but I still find it incredible!  That's
the biggest weekly loss I've had so far.  Only thing I can think I'm doing
differently is making sure I have enough skim milk, ...
Recommitting to weight loss/good health21 Jul 2004 04:20 GMT2
Hi Everyone,
I'm a lifetime Weight Watchers member since 9 years ago, but I am currently 10
lbs overweight.. I also suspect my cholesterol is high (I have a doctor's
appointment in 2 weeks so I'll confirm that soon). The saying about the last 10
Good Calories versus Bad?20 Jul 2004 21:04 GMT33
I am curious about something.  Most of the folks here abouts stress the
importance of eating GOOD FOOD, and reducing calories, rather than just
reducing calories.
What I am wondering is this...If you are reducing calories (and exercising,
