Wow -- Atkins *was* on to something06 Aug 2004 18:18 GMT7
So I'm out of cheerios now so instead I made instant oatmeal
(pre-sweetened with 'maple/brown sugar' -- ugh).
I'm a LOT hungrier for lunch now than usual, and I pretty sure there
were more calories in the oatmeal than my usual cheerios+protein
A couple of questions06 Aug 2004 17:56 GMT44
I *know* that every diet ever invented, whether it is low fat, low

Plans on hold!06 Aug 2004 17:29 GMT14
Oh dear, best laid plans, and all that - no sooner do I start a
weight-loss programme than my husband gets asked to go to Poland for a

meantime, I think my weight-loss plan had better go on hold.  I won't

Results of Nutritionist Visit Yesterday06 Aug 2004 01:52 GMT26
Hi everyone -- I had my latest nutritionist visit yesterday. Yay, this is the first
time I have lost at a checkup since November! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! So happy to change
that 160 number in my signature - blah, I hated looking at that for a month! And this
is the first time that I ...
No bike06 Aug 2004 01:35 GMT89
Even though the bike I looked at had a small frame, the seat height was still
too high for me and the frame larger than I cared for. I'm still thinking about
scouting for a "women's bike" elsewhere...I have bad balance, and I'd like to
Allowed sodium intake?05 Aug 2004 21:46 GMT6
Which is the "allowed" sodium intake? I just checked the average for the
last week in FitDay, and it was 788 mg. Too high? FitDay doesn't give me the

What is the logic behind using calories as an energy unit in food?05 Aug 2004 20:00 GMT9
I know that this may seem a little far fetched but please bear with me.
If this is a post in the wrong group and I sound like a nut, please
point me to the correct place.
The reason I am asking this question is the fact that calorie's

Tomatoes?05 Aug 2004 01:32 GMT6
So, after doing so well and getting down to 132.5 I had my first scare with
what I think may have been water retention.  I'm not sure - I think I need
somebody to clarify what happened to me.
I don't think I've had a tomato in months (I go through food phases),  but a

newbie and diet success story04 Aug 2004 16:25 GMT5
I've lurked on the newsgroups for some time, but never posted. My husband
and I are both overweight and have just re-evaluated our eating habits and
fitness habits in an attempt to change our lifestyles, both for our own
sakes and our childrens'. We have decided to give low-carbing ...
McDonald's Diet (www.burgerdiet.net)04 Aug 2004 14:54 GMT34
I guess you all know more about dieting than I.
Feeling chellenged by Morgan Spurlock's documentary "Super Size Me", I
embarked on a McDonald's only diet two weeks ago. So far, I've lost nearly 2
kg and find it quite easy to keep my calorie intake low.
