| Wow -- Atkins *was* on to something | 06 Aug 2004 18:18 GMT | 7 |
So I'm out of cheerios now so instead I made instant oatmeal (pre-sweetened with 'maple/brown sugar' -- ugh). I'm a LOT hungrier for lunch now than usual, and I pretty sure there were more calories in the oatmeal than my usual cheerios+protein

Oh dear, best laid plans, and all that - no sooner do I start a weight-loss programme than my husband gets asked to go to Poland for a week and is taking me with him! We will be back in a week; in the meantime, I think my weight-loss plan had better go on hold. I won't

| No bike | 06 Aug 2004 01:35 GMT | 89 |
Even though the bike I looked at had a small frame, the seat height was still too high for me and the frame larger than I cared for. I'm still thinking about scouting for a "women's bike" elsewhere...I have bad balance, and I'd like to

| What is the logic behind using calories as an energy unit in food? | 05 Aug 2004 20:00 GMT | 9 |
I know that this may seem a little far fetched but please bear with me. If this is a post in the wrong group and I sound like a nut, please point me to the correct place. The reason I am asking this question is the fact that calorie's

So, after doing so well and getting down to 132.5 I had my first scare with what I think may have been water retention. I'm not sure - I think I need somebody to clarify what happened to me. I don't think I've had a tomato in months (I go through food phases), but a

| McDonald's Diet (www.burgerdiet.net) | 04 Aug 2004 14:54 GMT | 34 |
I guess you all know more about dieting than I. Feeling chellenged by Morgan Spurlock's documentary "Super Size Me", I embarked on a McDonald's only diet two weeks ago. So far, I've lost nearly 2 kg and find it quite easy to keep my calorie intake low.
