rambling #1...  some doofus put 100lb plates on the leg press machine and
didn't have the decency to remove them when done.   When I got there I tried
to find someone to help me get them off - but no guys were around and the
women were all old.   So, I skipped that and worked on ...

I have posted a couple times in the last few days, but I thought I
would post an update. Things have been really tough the last couple
weeks.

I had heard about refeeds a few years ago, that you needed them to raise
leptin levels & keep your metabolism from dropping too much. Although leptin
has been mentioned in this ng, I have seen no mention of refeeds, so I
googled it & got some info & decided it was probably time ...

OK, I am back on my diet. And this time I am serious! My last
successful diet was basically vegan. But my urges got the better of me
after about a year. But I did lose 75 lbs or so. But now I am fat
again. Getting married sure didn't help!

Since I got back on the WOL bandwagon, I've been having a hard
time implementing exercise into my program.  A busy career and
personal life make exercsing difficult as it also seems to

I reached normal weight around Sep 10, 2003. Today marks 1.5 years
since that day. These days, I am somewhat more hopeful that I can
maintain this weight for some time. Amusingly, I weighed at 173.6
today, and a year ago I was 173.8 lbs (the number in my sig is the

Ive looked it up on the net, and i think thats whats happened to me cause of
my dramatic weight loss!  Can any one explain it in English really simple
non medical words ... lol

I discovered that Overeater's Anonymous does regular meeting sessions by
telephone conference call.  Monday morning I got to be a fly-on-the-wall
during one of their meetings.  (Use of a speakerphone helps.)  The schedule,

I was wondering, is it really necessary to eat low fat/fat free dairy to
lose weight? I mean you can have some fat, right? I drink 1% milk and
eat 1% cottage cheese. I almost bought some fat free feta cheese
yesterday but I took a look at it and it looked like some rancid

I happen to like chocolate. Lately, I have been eating unsweetened
chocolate (from the baking secion of the store, 2 net carbs per ounce,
no sugal alcohols etc), it does not seem to be doing any obvious
harm. Usually, 1 oz a day is what I eat, if I eat it at all. Since it

We are under 'house arrest" missing only the unremovable ankle monitor
which would only add weight :-)

I got on the scale at the gym (after staying away for the entire week
as I felt really "fat") and it read 140. I have not been 140 in at
least four months, and all of a sudden BAM, I hit 140. I started my new
way of eating/living plan last October at 146lbs, and my lowest weight

fat using the 'Navy' method: http://www.he.net/~zone/prothd2.html
After filling in the boxes, it takes you to a page to 'calculate your
protein requriements'. On this page there's a line that reads:
