Weight set points09 Mar 2005 22:44 GMT28
I thought I recalled a discussion about "set points" a while ago but I can't
find it now.  I think it was about a study which said actually there was no
evidence that there were set points and that not losing below a certain
point was psychological rather than physical.  Anyone ...

Me again09 Mar 2005 21:06 GMT17

been busy as hell for me recently and I actually have to make time to get
online. So here I am.

Question on Treadmills09 Mar 2005 15:30 GMT19
I am new here, lurking mostly, but I was wondering if any of you have
treadmills and if so, what brand and/or model number do you favor?
I'd like to get one relatively soon but theres much to choose from, so any
helpful hints would be much appreciated.
Still learning09 Mar 2005 13:57 GMT13
I learned two lessons this week:
1) If I must buy nuts, buy a package with one or two servings, not by the
pound.
2) Don't buy girl scout cookies. Just pay the four dollars and tell them to
just bought a new bike09 Mar 2005 01:27 GMT34
I finally got out and got a new hybrid bike for my road biking treks.   This
should allow me to ride much faster when I'm street biking.
Brand name wise - its a Giant - and I can't recall which model off hand.
But I'm totally looking forward to my first good ride.  :)
"underweight"??08 Mar 2005 22:52 GMT7
Hi all.  I recently spoke with my doctor about something that woul
suitable to lose a few (~5-10) pounds.  I seem to have excess fat on m

My plan is to post monthly updates on my 2005 resolutions and goals --
more of that accountability thing :-).  I'm a little late posting this
month, since I was out of town last week.
I have set both resolutions -- things I could control -- and goals --

Excercise without eating08 Mar 2005 22:24 GMT12
I tried the cardio without eating in the morning and it does help make a
difference.  I was wondering though about weight training.  I do an
alternating strength day with cardio, so should I eat on the lifting days?
Tastes of fish08 Mar 2005 22:17 GMT29
This is a little off topic, but I'm planning on going to a Steakhouse
tonight (a really fancy one, like 14 oz. filet mignons and 20 oz.
porterhouses, etc.). I don't like steak much anyway and I've been very
ambitious about seafood lately, which is something I've never really
