Matty's Monthly Update - April 200503 May 2005 19:55 GMT11
This month has been a month of firsts:
1) I am now able to walk for 50 minutes at a time without stopping or being
winded (equate this to walking from my office around Window on the
Waterfront and back - 2.5mi). I now do this on a daily basis Monday through
Is it possible to lose 3kg in one week?03 May 2005 13:45 GMT3
I'm in the RAF & I'm on a parachute course this coming Monday. The weight
limit to do the course is 96.4kg. I went into Boots yesterday to weigh
myself & it came up as 99kg. I had just ate a lasagne & baked potatoe and
drank 2 pints of water, so I'm hoping that added a bit.
Weight Lifting Question03 May 2005 02:10 GMT12
Hey everyone, I was wondering if you all wouldn't mind giving a bit
of advice.   I'm a 40 year old woman, and am losing weight now.  I
started at 258, and am now at 237.  In addition to eating better and
doing cardio I've been lifting for going on three months now, and seeing

Splenda, Nutrasweet etc - anyone use these?02 May 2005 16:28 GMT8
I bought some Splenda today. The first thing you notice is that it's
incredibly light weight. Does not contain sugar but maltodextrin. I was
surprised how sweet it tasted. The taste reminds me of cotton candy.
However I quickly worked out that by weight it has the same number or

Folks:
I think that home ownership is going to be good for my health.
Over the weekend, I sent several hours in the hot sun power
raking my lawn and preping it for the summer.  As a consequence,
Long time no see, I am back and need support.02 May 2005 16:10 GMT13
Hi Gang,
It has been a long time since I have been here since it has been a difficult
year for me. My dad got brain cancer and died after a 3 month ordeal which
left me with no energy to deal with my weight. I am currently 20 lbs. over
First week and counting02 May 2005 16:05 GMT4
This has been the first week on my new path and I am sore from exercising. I
have been tracking everything I eat on Fitday and I am surprised at the
actual calories that I have eaten. There are a lot of hidden calories in
every little spoon full. I have already dropped 2 pounds ...
Insanity - back to my initial weight after had lost 10 lbs :(02 May 2005 04:16 GMT36
I started out my WOL/WOE back in September 2004 at 146lbs. My lowest
weight was around December, around 133lbs. Now I'm back at 145lbs. I
binged today because I felt like crap: I ate 6 muffins, a loaf of
bread, picked at some Chinese food, had to tablespoons of peanut

Food & Exercise -- 4/30/2005 (yesterday)01 May 2005 23:52 GMT3
Had a totally lazy day at home, then went out to dinner w/ DH to
celebrate my 57th birthday.  We went to a new fancy restaurant that we
hadn't tried before.  We liked it a lot, and it's a nice sort of place
for those watching their calories, since it offers small tasting-size
